Jab->F-Tilt Crouch Cancel Required?

Does Jab into F-tilt Combo on all characters, without canceling the jab with a crouch, as long as you have perfect timing?

Or is crouching after Snake's jab required in order for it to be a true combo?

I haven't found an answer to this anywhere, and I think it's important for Snake mains to learn to crouch after all their jabs if it is required.

If you jab, pause and then do it, it's possible. But I'm pretty sure an opponent can get a hit/grab in on you while you wait.

It's much easier if you Crouch Cancel it though.

Well technically it's harder to crouch after the jab, because it requires an extra input

I know that I've been able to 'combo' it without a crouch, but like you said sometimes they could shield.

For now, I'll continue to work on crouching after all my jabs.

I do jab->f-tilt all the time without crouch canceling and it works like 90% of the time. I think if you crouch cancel it'll work like 95% of the time. Too much extra work to crouch cancel so I don't do it.

correct me if im wrong, but isnt "Crouch Cancel" isnt that term for holding Down, when gettin hit to reduce knockback, and that it doesnt exist in brawl?

and what you described sounds more like jab-cancelling?

Oh yes, you're correct, the technique itself is called jab cancelling. You perform it by crouching after a jab, and then a followup after that.

I edited my posts to make it more clear what I'm talking about.

I'm talking about Jab-cancelling into a F-tilt, and whether it's required for Jab>F-tilt to combo.

I think most people understood, but now it's much more clear.
