Well, I beat it. I beat Mother 3. And I must say, what a game. The story is plain out awesome. I was not dissapointed in the ending at all. But, just because I beat Mother 3 doesn't mean I'm done. I plan on doing another playthough, but using the debug too, so that's what you can expect next!

I'm in chapter 7 of my 2nd playthrough, then I plan to do a hard mode run.

I'm not even though the 2nd chapter yet (first playthrough) I blame my own arrogance for thinking I could get through it without getting the english patch. I read Japanese so dang slow.

Anyway, I don't really understand what all this has to do with what I know the plot is yet. So the mother dies and then Claus (I think thats his english name) got lost and now this new guy has to go on a quest to steal something from a castle. It doesn't add up.

What I plan to do is play it in english on my 2nd playthrough (If I ever finish the first)

It really dosen't till at least late chapter 4, but you don't know the true plot till chapter 8.
