I talked about him not being an ordinary sword fighter and bring forth Smash's first Earth based fighter.

Agreed. Wolf is basically set in stone. He's very easy to port. The only thing I think that holds him back is if they want to change a few things about him to differentiate him more from Fox/Falco (give him a new Final Smash). He'll probably be announced at E3.It's going to be sad how many votes will be thrown away on ridiculous third-party or non-video-game characters, Ridley and Wolf.
I include Wolf because he's obv going to be DLC. And if Nintendo had announced it now (though I get why they didn't) then a lot of votes that will be going to him could be allocated elsewhere.
Like to Isaac.
I think they should disallow third-parties, that really bothers me. They cannot guarantee third-parties will get in the game at all. As for unrepped franchises getting priority... eh, that depends. I'd say franchises with few characters and no newcomers in the main game at all.Nintendo should straight up disallow 3rd party entrys, and unrepped franchises like golden sun, or advanced wars, should have priority.
They probably ARE disallowing third party characters. Those votes are probably just going to be discarded automatically.Nintendo should straight up disallow 3rd party entrys. Unrepped franchises like golden sun, or advanced wars, should have priority.
Totally. Popularity is where Isaac shines!Did my part. Isaac's chances just shot through the roof thanks to this poll if you ask me.
For the most part, I'd agree. However I imagine if a character receives an overwhelming amount of votes and meets all the other basic criteria for inclusion, and the company currently gets on well enough with Nintendo, there might be a chance. The only ones that might fit into this though are Rayman and to a lesser extent Bayonetta. Snake would be a whole other story now given Kojima's current situation. I wouldn't hold my breath for any third-party though. And frankly I'd rather get more Nintendo characters anyway. They probably ARE disallowing third party characters. Isaac did receive a significant popularity boost thanks to being axed as an AT when he was one of the favorite ATs before. But he's still sadly low on popularity.Totally. Popularity is where Isaac shines!
Yeah, if the demand was absolutely absurd, it might happen, but I don't think the demand is high enough, especially given that they'd have probably have to give up a portion of the DLC profits, which they probably won't want to do.For the most part, I'd agree. Wait, are we being sarcastic or not? I thought Ridley and K. Rool dominated the popularity charts.Totally. Popularity is where Isaac shines!
I don't think that's true. He's always been popular. His popularity might be decreasing, not quickly or anything, but it's true the longer without a GS game the lower its gonna get.Isaac did receive a significant popularity boost thanks to being axed as an AT when he was one of the favorite ATs before. It's pretty crazy how Hex single-handedly rocketed one character to near the top of the popularity charts, but yeah, I'm not convinced it'll be enough to get Rayman included.Yeah, if the demand was absolutely absurd, it might happen, but I don't think the demand is high enough, especially given that they'd have probably have to give up a portion of the DLC profits, which they probably won't want to do.
I never said he was the most popular, but his strongest factor towards inclusion is currently his popularity. Pretty sure Wolf is the most popular character atm.Wait, are we being sarcastic or not? I thought Ridley and K. Rool dominated the popularity charts.
I don't know where you're getting this. In almost every poll I see Isaac is almost always towards the top of the poll, within the top five newcomers. It varies here and there, but the top newcomers tend to be King K. Rool, Isaac, Krystal, Dixie Kong, and a couple of others that sometimes shift in. Ridley probably would be if he wasn't already a boss.Isaac did receive a significant popularity boost thanks to being axed as an AT when he was one of the favorite ATs before. There's always sigatures.. oh wait. This was a terrible time for all the Shaq avatars, lol.
Letting you guys know I voted Isaac. Let's make our voices heard.
[Shrugs] Personally, I consider mineself to be gender-neutral, since I don't identify much with either gender.Even though I assume most of you are dudes I'd imagine putting Female as your gender has the best shot of getting Isaac playable (aside from volume of demand ofc), as fewer girls are going to be filling out this ballot yet Nintendo will still want to appease both demographics. Why else would they ask?
So yes, I am advocating you fudge the ballot, though let's be honest, by filling out multiple ballots we're all cheating anyway.
I remotely considered requesting Bayonetta, since I really enjoy the series for the complex storyline and unique battle system, but in the end I decided I'm not going to vote for any third-party characters. For the most part, I'd agree. I'm hearing from a lot of people that the most recent vote from a particular machine/IP is the only one that counts. It overwrites your previous one, apparently.Isaac was the first character I voted for.
K.Rool was number two.
Different IPs.I'm hearing from a lot of people that the most recent vote from a particular machine/IP is the only one that counts. It overwrites your previous one, apparently.
For me its flipped. I'm going to attempt to vote for Isaac on my phone, voted for K. Rool on my PC. Instead of Dixie for my third I'm going to try voting Lip, though. I know she's obscure but I want to help support her.Isaac was the first character I voted for.
K.Rool was number two.
Yeah, that. :DDifferent IPs.
How would they know that?I'm hearing from a lot of people that the most recent vote from a particular machine/IP is the only one that counts. It overwrites your previous one, apparently.
Not sure lol. I mean, in Firebug I could potentially check and see if they carry certain data when sending the information. It all depends, though. How would they know that?
Just because they ask the non-Japanese gamers doesn't mean they'll listen to the non-Japanese gamers.Put in my vote for Isaac immediately. lol
Really neat that they're open to more character DLC and they're asking us (not just a limited Japanese crowd) who we want! ^_^
Aw. Quit being such a stick in the mud!Just because they ask the non-Japanese gamers doesn't mean they'll listen to the non-Japanese gamers.
I can't say I'm surprised. At any rate, I'm glad I decided not to make any further votes from mine laptop. I guess I probably cannot use public computers either, since they all usually share the same IP address.I'm hearing from a lot of people that the most recent vote from a particular machine/IP is the only one that counts. You can use public PCs. Just wait until near the end of the poll. Then your vote overrides all the other votes made on that machine, and Isaac wins.I can't say I'm surprised. Besides Isaac, I would love to see Young Cricket from WarioWare in the game.
Hmm, that could work. You can use public PCs. Just wait until near the end of the poll. Then your vote overrides all the other votes made on that machine, and Isaac wins.
The poll doesn't end until October. There's no way they're going to sit around and wait until the poll officially ends; they'll probably develop the top requested characters right away along with additional content like stages and maybe more game modes, then when the poll ends they'll find out whose left and do those (if there's enough support, and there probably would be).You can use public PCs. And if Isaac isn't developed by that point, more free votes! The poll doesn't end until October.
