..because mine is.

I was just watching a video on my computer and outta nowhere I see a blue flash from the corner of my eye and notice that my Wii is turned on.

I assume that I just forgot to turn it off after playing melee so I turn it off and go back on the computer..

30 seconds later same blue flash and its on again! (gasps)

I do this like 5-6 times and each time it turns on (the timings differ)

I call the Nintendo support line and I swear.. those people don't know anything. They respond by saying "is this a prank call?" (yes.. it's a prank call.. thats why i was holding for 10 minutes you b****)

--Other stupid statements: "seems like your Wii is possessed.." "so your Wii has a mind of it's own huh.." (I don't know that's why I'm calling you ******* to help me out -.-)

Has this ever happened to anybody else? (I'm gonna send mine in for repair ><)

Send it in for repair, but first. Copy ALL YOUR DATA to an SD Card, I had to do the same thing (not for the same issue mind you), and I lost ALL MY Twilight Princess, Secret Rings, Wii Sports, Wii Play, DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2, and Excite Truck Data... I was a very sad Panda after that.

Like NickU said, the blue light turns on when you receive a message. It turns blue for a couple seconds when you first turn your system on as well (if memory serves me correctly, haven't turned my Wii on in ages), but then turns off. So yeah, check to see if you have any messages.

this has happened to me a few times before but today I got the worse case of it... the blue light must have came on when i was school and STAYED on until I got home... roughly 5 hours... when i tried to turn my wii on it wouldnt go on so I was forced to unplug it and thats when I noticed my wii was EXTREMELY hot... but then I just left it on my bed for about 20 minutes and it cooled down and everything is fine now

Wow that happened to me my first night with the Wii (the overheating thinggy..) from then on I leave the light and standby feature off.

It might be my message because I went online for like one second and you know how it lets you know your history or whatever.. but I thought after viewing the message, it should go away (it's not going away for me =/)

It might also be my remote cuz I took the batteries out and it hasn't happened so far.. I'm gonna keep testing stuff out to see which might be causing this problem. Thanks for the input though, much appreciated.

Something like this is happening to me too. But my Wii doesn't turn on, it's just the drive flashing around. My mother always thought that this means that the Wii is on so she wanted to turn it off by pressing the button. Foolish girl..
It's annoying though. Especially when you're waking up in the middle of the night cuz of a blue light..

Oh that's probably because you got a message or something (mine did that but I just turned off the light off.)

Yeah..I hate those messages about how long I've played which game or how long I've used a channel. But I think it's useful if you use it to contact friends.

@ Apocalypse™: Sounds like a genuine possession to me, though it may just be a remote issue. Remote problems are easier to fix, so I suggest you look into that first.

@ XtremeCJ and Enshoku: Oftentimes the messages are Nintendo telling you there is a system update available. It's good to keep your Wii running on the latest firmware. You should probably just read the messages. It doesn't glow when you get a "Today's play History" message or whatever, only messages from friends, Nintendo or certain games like Super Mario Galaxy that decide to send your Wii pointless spam.

It does that here too, but I found out because I have Wi-Fi that there was some guy that had a chinese or japan username that was connected to MY Wii... >.> So I unplugged it and plugged it again to avoid having my Wii do that until I played on it again.

Does anyone know the click noise that happens when you switch between channels and the home channel page of your Wii? Sometimes my Wii will sound like it's jamming up and it'll click like crazy.

I think it may be possessed. I dunno.

Yeah the blue glow light is WiiConnect24 pretty much saying "CHECK YO'SELF (as in, your mailbox)"

Does anyone know if there is a way to stay on WiiConnect24, but to have the blue light disabled? When it comes on during the night, my whole room lights up. :ohwell:

No it wasn't my inbox.. don't know what it was but it seems to be fine now.

As for turning off the light.. you can turn the light and standby option by going to the WiiConnect24 screen and you should see 3 options to pick from.. you should be able to turn it off from there (that's what I did.)

If you want to send it in, go ahead but if your Wii is possessed, I recommend calling Ghostbusters.
