Is wavedash banned?

Hey,

My friend keeps telling me that wavedashing is banned at all tournaments and yells at me when I wavedash. He keeps telling me that I can't read, but I havent found many tournaments that have banned wavedashing.

How many tournaments actually ban WDing? Am actually breaking "rules"?
