Is there a matchup thread?

I don't think so. The only one I know of is the Ganon one that Tipman made. Who are you in particular need of help with?

You could search the Marth thread, with the name of that character.

There is a matchup chart that you can search for in melee discusion if you want to know how the match should turn out between two opponents of equal skill, but that's probably not what your looking for. There is a Marth vs. Jigglypuff section just a little lower on this page if you want to check it out. Treat captain falcon as a fast faller (except for chain throwing) and you should do fine.

Wow, a pikachu player. And he's good?! That's awesome. Just space your ariels and avoid his up smash. You can SmashDI out of his down smash and most you can easily out range any of his aerials with a Fair. Just watch out for when he's under you because he's probably going for the up air psuedo spike.

Yeah I think these guys are right and there isnt a matchup thing like you are looking for although I wish a top marth would write one.

As far as c falcon it kinda depends on the skill level of the one you are playing. Try grabbing him and down throw to forward smash (make sure it is immediately so he doesnt have time to realize he has to tech), if he can tech everytime then stop and mix it in sparingly, if he cant then its your best option from a grab. You can always up throw to up tilt and try to create something there are mid % but that doesnt always work so well. Dont get grabbed yourself because sometimes you can get caught into a chain grab session that will lead to him up air comboing when he gets you to the edge. When you get him off the edge he should never be allowed back on. Use your tilts to keep him off, his recovery sucks. In this matchup remember that your range owns him and he has no projectiles so be calm and work off what he does if your offense isnt working. Watch ken vs any top c falcon there are some out there on youtube.

For jiggs this should be a pretty easy matchup for you. Your uptilt should make it impossible for him to come from above and your f tilt is longer than all his attacks coming from the front. Just be careful with your forward smashes because of jiggs ability to move in and out so well in the air.

And come on.....pikachu. He shouldnt even be able to get close to you.

I play both Pikachu and Marth, I'll say that Marth has the best edgeguard against Pikachu. When Pika uses his quick attack, use your Fsmash. If he tries to sweetspot, walk to the edge of the stage and Fsmash. He'll have no choice but to go for centre stage, where you punish the lag from the up B.

In the fray, Pika has no attacks that can get to Marth. His main form of approach, the Nair and Fair can be easily tilted. His grab range is pretty small when compared to Marth's too.

Those are ok, but sadly to broad for someone to take in account for a whole match.
