Look at the King Dedede moveset update.
http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/kingdedede.html

You can flip over and cancel it in midair.

However, if you try to cancel just before landing, you’ll make a fool of yourself, and you’ll be vulnerable for even longer, so watch out.
In other words, if you try to cancel with the same timing as an L-Cancel you'd suffer more lag instead of less.

He even says the word cancel. I found it very weird.

I know it's a stretch but i'm just saying. Whatever. I'm bored and disappointed by this update. Smashboards needs an IRC channel (on EFNET) or at least some sort of chatroom

A (used) account on Smashboards.com who joined May 2007. His speculation and distaste in Brawl updates have recently shown his failure to speculate, as they are based on word findings. Recent levels of failure from ShortFuse have been omitted by an increased 90%. Another one of ShortFuses achievements was the invention of the DVD rewinder. This product was deemed as the most failed attempt of a electronic device in world history. This invention nominated him for the 2004-2007 failure awards, where he recieved over 50 nominations of failure including: Pathetic attempt, what the fuck were you thinking?, GTFO, WTF and OMG n00b. He has also recieved highest honors in the 2007 Facepalm awards.

It's a B move, shouldn't even try to l-cancel that. There's plenty more canceling then just l-canceling. No reason to pull l-canceling into this. No, quite the contrary, the fact he's taking things like canceling and storing with shield into consideration gives me more hope then worry. I read it more as a shout out to the competitive crowd.

So I just joined up after reading a few posts here.

And so far, from this topic alone, I can see one thing's confirmed for Brawl.

***holes.

Yes. Yes he is making fun of you. Sakurai is a development hate machine.

Oh and yeah, why were you b& DK?

Whoa, I completely agree. Sakurai clearly finds amusement in the idea that anyone wants to play this game competitively. Spot on there.

For posting an image of an incredibly buff Scrooge McDuck making an awkward facial expression as he strikes a Herculean pose wearing nothing more than a kilt and thrusting his enormous, veiny orange ***** through the Ice Climbers.

Seriously, who would have thought.

Anyways, jesus christ, people, who cares if it's a b-move. It could still be a reference to tourney***s whether or not he cared about the specifics of the game. You substitute b for l, and VOILA HOLY ***** WHAT A SCOOP.

How descriptive.

That image is posted at least twice a day, I didn't think anyone would get banned for it.

I should post it here for reference.

But yeah, it's a funny story. I put it under spoiler tags and made a tl;dr about how the related pic should be in brawl. And then everyone was like "lol trip*** your guna git band" and im all like "ya wassup i can taek that shiii"

And then I got served lobster on a silver platter. It was G-R-E-A-T

They said "He's MUUUURRRRRRRRing in a better place now".

Clearly, that's debatable since you're here.

I always would mouse over DK's posts just to see MURR at the bottom of my screen and laugh.

Sakurai MUST spend al lhis time thinking of clever ploys and mind-games to play with people, when his job requires him to work intensively on game balance and PR's.

They're jokes, don't take too much too seriously.

Anyway, I think if you 'cancel' the jump attack, he flips over or something in mid-air, and doing that close to the ground would make him land in an awkward position, is all.

YES! Yes he is mocking you, technical player. But you saw through his evil tricks, didn't you?

Shame on you, Sakurai, for mocking technical players! What did they ever do to YOU!?

It's kinda sad that they consider good timing to be bad. You'd think that if someone was good enough to get the timing down then they deserve to cancel the move later than other people.

I'm glad I'm looking at Brawl from a casual perspective, this is like Soul Calibur 2 to Soul Calibur 3 all over again.
