Kink-Link5
Smash Hero
Pichu's hitboxes covered his body more advantageously than Pikachu's. Despite Pichu's uair and u-tilt being shorter, their range relative to his body provied a different coverage than Pikachu's equivalent moves.

Everyone keeps using that "clone" word. I don't think it means what they think it means.
Actually, Quick attack cancel is very reminiscent from the landing lag of Pichu's QAtk.Now it comes down to Pichu. As far as I know, Pikachu inherited nothing from Pichu. Pichu actually had an interesting concept. Trading power for self-damage infliction is pretty cool, though was executed poorly. I am fully confident the PMBR could find a way to bring that idea back and give Pichu a revamped sense of style and play, though I'm in no rush to see it.
In the Smash community, it isn't used like the dictionary definition, and you know it.
i say do plusle and minum to replace and be sort of fused with pichu, get some of that forbidden 7, and give the plusle and minium a very obvious pichu inspired and shiny pichu recolor ( (or raichu/shiny raichu recolor)). Maybe some taunts, attack properties, and animations for good measure.I have two answers to this question, as to not only what is asked, but the variable of the current situation's effect as well.
No, it is not "bad" to have the forbidden five back. I would want nothing more for those characters but to see them built to the point of them being built upon their individual trait, through a moveset that allows such tools to be used effectively.
However, as of now, we only have five slots worth of module files to work with. We could see it used for one of the forgotten, but that could very well hinge on the decision to add new characters as opposed to putting work into both paying respect to their playstyle in a environment where they have already been subtly introduced, but straying just enough to make them fresh.
putting toon Zelda and tetra on Zelda sheik by use of taunt (samus ice beam) and changing textures (swuirtle) was a hilarious idea. That might be too much though... she'd be like pkmn trainer. That actually could work.
Have part of the fallen 5 ( Roy, Mewtwo, Dr. Mario)
Have part of the forbidden 7 (Roy, Mewtwo, Dr. Mario, Plusle and Minun)
Nos about Dixie, Toon Zelda and Toon Sheik...
I agree with plusle and minum if there is a pichu based recolor.Plusle & Minun = Infinitely more interesting choice than Pichu. Self damage could stay, as well. Pichu is still interesting though, but I would prefer Plusle & Minun due to the creativity that could go behind them.
Dr. Mario = Already a skin. Doesn't need to take up another slot, which could go to someone that would gather much more interest than the Doc.
Young Link = Could be a thing, but I don't think it would be necessary. Toon Link is fine as is.
Since Project M is a mod, and they can practically add anybody (from the game) that they want to...I would much rather the PMBR focus on characters that would not only have a distinguishable niche that none of the other 41 characters could fill, but would also gather much more attention than said clone characters. That being said, I believe that while Doc/Pichu/Y. Link do have their fans, I feel as though they should be opted out in favor of something better.
For example, I feel as though Toon Zelda would be much more interesting than Young Link. A small Zelda could open up a new and interesting niche that neither Zelda nor the PK Bros (Ness/Lucas) currently have...while Young Link would be more-or-less just an alternate version of Toon Link.
as long as they have at least a recolor, texture, or alt as their other forms...I hope there isn't no more pokemon coming back, there's too many >_> Pichu is garbage if you want him get a texture from brawlvault an put it over pikachu lmbo.
As for Doc Mario and Ylink there already in, basically just combined with Mario/Toonlink and imo i wouldn't want to see the same character.
Roy is different, even though he was sloppy unfinished version of Marth like Ganondorf mirroring C .Falcon there different characters and I'm liking how Pmbr made them there own person with there own style/gimmicks to work with to distinguish them from there old copied style in melee.
Pichu, Doc. M, Ylink are almost just the same as Mario, Pikachu an Toonlink and i would like to see the rest of the clone slots for newer characters in the future, plus there's already a developed meta game for Mario, TL, if they brought them back they would have to back track and i don't think Pmbr would do something that's already established.
