Internet filter delayed until second half of year

This could potentially mean after the election_ That's right peeps, Labor is still going to bring the internet filter through into Australia_ This is a big deal and completely destroys what is possibly the last form of 'freedom' available to people with a flawed and stupid system_ Don't vote in Labor next election or this will become a reality_

inb4 Labor censors the ALP website =D Seriously though, this Conroy fellow contradicts himself - he wants to censor sites to protect children, but then says he wants to leave them up for a little while to catch some of the people who visit the illegal stuff??? Uhh, why not just not censor anything, and catch ALL of the people who visit illegal sites??? Or, if parents are really that worried about their kids, how about you invest money in teaching parents how to set-up their own internet filters???

Liberal support the filter in principle; they're helping it to pass, since they are not contesting it in parliament. All that Liberal have stated is that they think the internet filter will not work, but they are willing to assess other alternatives; this is the equivalent of bi-partisan support on a policy basis and voting against ALP on the basis of the internet filter will not achieve anything.

I only cared about this when Conroy used some stupid justification like "I'm not going to apologise for stopping people from watching child pornogrophy".... Because it's a silly generalisation that almost suggests that anyone against the filter watches kiddie porn, to those who don't know any better.

He was funny though, when he blamed some website getting blocked on "The Russian Mob", on Q&A, loool. The filter was already screwed.
