I think that at a higher evolution of the metagame, that Pikachu will be in the top 10. Not sure where in the top 10 though. Most likely below Metaknight/Snake/DDD/GnW/Marth.

Seriously, some of Pikachu's utilt/uthrow/dthrow traps are too good.

I don't know how many of you look at the tier discussions, but pika is consistently placed in high tier. Tiers aren't about how good a character is, but how much of the meta that character beats.

Pikachu has good matchups against A LOT of the top characters, such as Snake (which not many characters can say) and DDD (just as examples). 2 of the top characters right now. Sure we have a bad matchup vs MK, but who actually has a good one other than snake?

Eh, I would only use it at high percentages. Mind game Thunders work from time to time, but you have to be really careful. If you don't base it you are definitely gonna get punished. Even if you do base it, you can still get in trouble.

I said I know to NOT spam thunder/dsmash etc.

Yea thats good. Im not sure about you but I go by a motto
"when in doubt, Dsmash it out"
Basicalky if there at a high percent and I died and afraid of my damage being racked I Dsmash em xD

A nice unexpected move would be Dsmash>QAC>thunder it works at higher percents and can only be punished by fox, wolf and especially falco(sometimes pit)

Well, I try not to rely on Dsmash that much because you can punish it by shieldgrabbing between hits, shieldgrabbing after the last his, any jab or quick attack will get you with the tiny bit of lag at the end.
The only places I really use it is to get them if they spotdodge or if they attack my shield I'll shield drop and dsmash or spot dodge and dsmash depdning on who it is and what aerial it is.

Yeah I know about QAC > thunder. I wouldn't be using it on fast fallers anyway b/c dthrow > utilt > uair > nair is too sexy. And I probably wouldn't use Pika against Pit 'cause I don't have any trouble with him using Wario.

I use pika and link, so I rely on pika ALOT.
Though Utilt>Uair>Nair seems short.
Fair>Utilt>Uair>Fair>Utilt>Uair>Fair>Dsmash>QAC>thunder
It works most of the time but al, the hits don't land, its more of a mind game thing. I've nevet failed this combo =D
you should try it. It works best on heavy weights but it works on mid weights. You have to follow the opponent in the air with your attacks. You understand better if you try it yourself

Well i personally walk the line with spammy thunder, but i HIT with it. its so much fun. ^_^ and never rely on dsmash. any mid level player and higher should know how to di out of it, then it is just a 5-6 damage move that puts them at an angle that it is hard to do anything about.

The closer they are the harder it is to DI out of >_>
Sometimes DI sends em straight up for thunder. Dsmash is an excellent killer

If you opponent is paying attention, they can always DI out of thunder.
