Kaito sits in the kitchen and eats a jar of pickles.
Ashley waves her wand, incinerating the monster. She then continues running through the cave, calling for Gunther.
ShyHo: You like pickles?
Kaito nods. "Tasty."
ShyHo: Want some lunch?
She searches through vast networks of the caves, but finds no one. She does, however, come across a trail of blood with no body. The trail abruptly stops <I would feature more to suggest what happened to him, but I did not want to be too graphic.>, with no obvious cause of termination. She hears a voice, but...
Kaito nods. "Pasta."
Ashley runs with Baby Ashley back outside. She finds Sarah. "He's dead!"
(ShyHo gives him pasta)
Kaito eats his pasta and falls asleep.
ShyHo: You're a sleepy one. (He puts Kaito in his crib)
The group is stunned to find her suddenly amongst them again. They rush over to her...
Kaito remains sleeping peacefully.
Both of the Ashleys start sobbing. "We found a c-cave in the mist, a-and....." Ashley chokes.
(ShyHo and Lenna watch a show together)
Sheriff: (Bends over with interest ) What cave? There aren't any caves!... (Intensely striking maps with the back of his hand) Are you sure these are up to date? (Response in the affirmitive... "Less than a year old!")...
In Kaito's dream, he sees the situation with Ashley. It makes him very sad.
Baby Ashley sobs. "Don't see Dada anywhere no more......." Ashley rubs her back as she cries as well.
ShyHo: The time we spend together is great.
Kaito wakes up and cries.
(Lenna goes into his room)
Kaito looks at her. "S-saw.....vewwy sad....."
Lenna: What happened?
"Ashwee's Dada eaten by monster..." Kaito says.
Lenna: Oh, that's horrible. I feel so sorry for her.
Kaito keeps crying. "She gonna be okay?"
Lenna: It is difficult to say, I do not know.
While the Porters grieve the loss, let us check events elsewhere...
Kaito wipes his tears. "She sad awot....."
Red pokes a shotgun through the mail slot. "Who are you? What do you want?" he growls, his mental health having declined greatly due to Ashley leaving and his drinking.
Wario: It's Wario (using his finger to direct the shotgun barrel away)... Is Ashley here?
Lenna: Occasionally , in life, things are sad. If one perseveres, then they can get through that sadness.
"No, she decided I'm not good enough and went off to live with adopted parents!" Red yells, uncharacteristically bitter.
"Okay...." Kaito mumbles.
Lenna: The next time you get sad, play with something you like.
Wario: Urgh!... The reason I came here was because she caused my company to fail! Now you're telling me she doesn't even live here anymore? (Kicks a rock away from the patio, causing a cat to startle audibly)... And she's probably living the high life too! Where can I find her?
"Awwight," Kaito says. "More nap now..."
"She's on an island called Tanjun Jyuki. If you find her, bring her back here!" Red says.
(Lenna leaves the room)
After getting names and an address, Wario sets out...
Kaito falls back asleep.
Neither of them touch their food. The time when Gunther usually comes home arrives, and Baby Ashley rushes to the door to greet him like she usually does, expecting him to come back. Ashley watches her sadly.
(Lenna and ShyHo spend time together)
Kaito wakes up and cries again.
(Lenna comes into the room)
"More sad...." Kaito mumbles. "Go way...."
(Lenna leaves the room)
Kaito keeps crying for a long time and the falls asleep again.
