PACHIRISU REBELLION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...

Hi.

I like this thing's design, so I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt. Maybe I'll force myself to make a moveset for it along with one for Lucario. But for now, I'll just express the fact that I like its design.

*Sigh* W/e xianfeng, could debate out the as* and counter this but I don't really feel like getting into it with you. If you are pumped for a debate than I can point you in the direction of that drug fulled Lucario lala land thread seeing as I know how you feel about him or any Non-Meowth Pokey..
No I also like Gallade, Psyduck, Onix, Slowpoke, Electivire, Magmortar, Mudkip, Blastoise and some others. I also don't hate Lucario or Gardevoir. I just would have prefered Meowth as he was a very interesting choice, but I allready got one thing I want in this game (Diddy) and two things I hate (Rumble Falls and Gibbon Sticker) So I expect the rest to be dissapoints like the Meowth pokeball.

Pachirisu is the best pokemon! he is da bomb! squirrels FTW. but i think he has a good chance. based on popularity. design and balance in the game. they can't just have hardcore fighters. they need one softie which is used for bait. But pachy would so be an awesome choice for SSBB. if he's in. I'll totally master him ;)

There are probably over 400 Pokemon I would rather have in the game, I doubt Pachirisu will be in it over any other Pokemon, we already had 2 electric Pokemon in Melee. I don't see Pachirisu being high tier either.

More Pokemon in Brawl would suck, save the spots for better fighters.

Did someone before manage to come up with a dumber argument already, or should I bestow the Medal of Fail upon this one?

How about you explain?? I'm stating my opinions, and I don't see an argument anywhere.

IMO: Pachirisu is the absolute dumbest idea for a character. As if people don't bash on Wii for being kiddy enough, hahaha.

That has nothing to do with anything.

??? Elaborate

Except that he isn't

And those people matter how?

1) I'm just saying, why not have a character that has potential to be high tier?
2) Elaborate on what? Let's say they don't put in... Megaman, but instead put Pachirisu. That would be horrible.
3) I have yet to see a worse character choice. There's already an electric Pokemon, we don't need another, especially if it's Pachirisu...
4) Umm, who said they did matter? It's stupid to me how people want this Pokemon in Brawl because it's "cute" which makes it look like a total joke, and a possible waste of another characters space.

The game is for casual players, no "pros" it's about fun not tiers.

There are worse out there IE Takamaru, Sora and Magikarp

The game is for Nintendo fans not haters...

Well, that is a point well made. I was thinking because they haven't put in a 4th pokemon (melee: mewtwo, jigglypuff, pikachu & pichu) but they do have the somewhat popular ones (charizard, pikachu etc...) then some character has to follow in jigglypuffs footsteps.be-it a fast but easy to kill pokemon. NOT that I'm saying my idea is True. just saying this is MY theory on it all.

1) Yea, but it'd be fun to have a better (not as in strength, a general better character).
2) Hah, Takamaru and Sora sound better to me, even though I know those won't happen, I'm not counting that.
3) Yea? I know that. I'm stating my opinions. I'm only hating on the idea of Pachirisu for Brawl because I think there are more worthy candidates. Plus, Pachirisu is so stupid looking. (Again my opinion)

where still talking about this. oh well let ask you a question. If Pachi was to be in the game would you use him as you main? think long and hard(but don't hurt yourself) you can't seriously use a weak thing like him for much.
Seriously.. but they want him in for the casual stuff. You can put in a way better character and still be casual...

You're gonna play Pachirisu for about 2 matches and say "Wow this character sucks."

Pachirisu?
Character?
Brawl?
Sorry, but he has no chance of making it in. How many people know about the electric squirrel?
Now, how many people know about the electric rat?

He's just not that popular enough.

I'm sorry to see that you're getting the same "that would suck" answers that the Plusle and Minun thread gets. Its one thing to say why a character shouldn't be in brawl, but its another to say that they shouldn't and then not back it up.

I don't really understand why everyone likes Lucario so much anyways. I'll be honest, I haven't kept up with Pokemon since the first season, but Lucario seems too much like some kind of Digimon/Pokemon freak hybrid-baby and he doesn't appeal to me at all as an antagonist character. (Of course it's not about me, but still, I don't get the appeal)

Haunter for Brawl if ANY new pokemon make it in. :D
Just think of all the tongue attacks alone!! :psycho:

And I guess Ivysaur was number one on the "Most Wanted Pokemon" list? Pachirisu is more popular than the average Pokemon and everyone on this thread has obviously heard of him. He might not have a great chance of making it in Brawl but I would have said the same thing the day someone said Ivysaur, Squirtle, or Charizard.

And you say this under what basis?
Lol ummm you've seen all the videos from the E for All and w/e right? He isn't in the game.

Now when I say that, since obviously you don't understand, I mean *right now*

Lucario has a better shot of making it in.

Yeah, just remember.
THIS IS A DEMO.
Sakurai is allowed to make changes to it (which is what you seem to be saying...so...we done?)

Besides, I don't deny the fact that Pachi is likely to be pokeballed anyway, if he's placed in.

Yea, I know it's a demo, and yea, I know he's allowed to make changes to it, but I was just sayin he's not in the game yet.

I'd rather have more Pokemon put in the pokeballs, though. Makes more sense to me.

Personally i don't really see the point of the great amount of appeal towards lucario. i got D/P and then people started going woh! this gym leaders got an awesome pokemon called lucario! and now It's beginning to become some sort of cult pokemon much like pikachu except Lucario's still fairly new to the pokemon scene....

So Pachy has a decent chance aswell as lucario of getting into SSBB. He also appeals to girls at times. like my sister usually would play peach or pichu in SSBM. Aswell as some of my friends (girls aswell, not intending to be sexist) would go "whats that cute little yellow thing!!......getting pummeled...".

I am a guy myself and i reckon Pachy would broaden the audience range of SSBB. (plus i have a lvl 80 one on my pearl version, and he was like my main pokemon. so Pachy is my fave)

but to my own dismay there is a likely chance he'll be pokeball-ed.... :(

I have been looking at E4all stuff all day and WOW. . . theres some silly arguements here. "Pachi wouldn't be high T". . . .well da*n, not every character is going to be highly used. Pichu, from what I remember, was made to be a handy-cap character by Sakurai so that you can brag once you kick someone's a** with him (Thats what Handy-Cap characters are for). There has to be a weak character...and who said Pach would end up weak? He doesn't hurt himself like Pichu...would probly have all of Pichu's stats but no self harming and maybe be Pika heavy.

I feel that Pachi could be the Luigia to Pika's Mario. . . or the Falco/ Y.Link/ MK/ Zero to Pika's Fox/ Link/ Kirby/ Samus.

Well....not that I don't want pachirisu but....theres quite a lot of pokemon that could make it ahead of pachirisu (mewtwo, Lucario, Jigglypuff)

i seriously don't understand this. what those this even mean.
It means that most of the main characters of series in smash have a side kick/ different version or look away in melee and most like brawl. In melee we had. . .
Link-Y.Link (many think that Y.Link will come back in Celda style as the "different version" character)
Fox-Falco (Many think Falco will come back as Fox's "side kick")
Mario-Luigia (Main character and "side kick")
Pika-Pichu (Main character and a "different version" character)

Now in brawl we have (confirmed). . .
Mario-Luigia (Main and Side Kick)
Kirby-MK (Main character and "side kick/rival like" character and they look alike)
Samus-ZSS (Main character and a different version of said character)
DK-Diddy (Main character and side Kick)

There just seems to be a re-occurance of the "main character" of a larger/important series having either a side kick/ rival/ look-a-like character in along side them or a different version of the main character in along side the main character.

My take on series character titles in smash.
Main character
Side kick/ rivil/ different version of main character
Important female of the series
Villian of the series

You make a good point, Black/Light, but I'm just curious...why do you keep typing Luigi as Luigia? I'm just being picky...still, you've got a good point...

About the whole sidekick thing, Pachirisu isn't a sidekick for Pikachu, if that's what you're implying.

Sakurai favors 1st gen Pokemon and Pachirisu wasn't on the polls, it's not a good chance he's gettin in.

I said. . .side kick/ rival/ look-a-like character/ different version of the main character. Pichu was the "Look-a-like/ different version of the main character" for Pika in melee.

Clearly theres not a "side kick" for characters like Pika/ Link/ Samus so they can get (Samus already got) the "Look-a-like/ different version of the main character" treatment for a character of their series.

This is just my personal theory about titles for characters in smash which I concluded that Pach could (with or with out this smash site's approval) be added under that title. Im by no means the first to note this title categorization in smash. Many people use it for series like SF as reason why K-Fox and Wolf should be in and so on.

Also, Sakurai has shown that, at the very least, he is "willing" to go to another "gen" of pokemon to find Pika's look-a-like/ different version. And here http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=81891&highlight=melee+poll+1999 by no means was Pichu highly wanted for melee (not even on the poll) but he got in. . . .and this poll was based soley on votes and not just post that cauth his eye like the brawl one.

Pachirisu didn't really have a fair chance to be on the polls though, unlike other Pokemon. The game came out in September 2006 in Japan, and the poll came out near that time.
