Meowth is far more important than Pachirisu will ever be in the anime, he's pretty much the brains behind Team Rocket who appear in like every episode! So if Anime appearance is anything to go by then hello Meowth!
Not that that means much, considering Team Rocket doesn't have two brain cells to rub together between the three of them

That list only shows that your eyes may not be closed to anything other than Lucario (which I dobt is true. You may think their cool but it doesn't show that you think they stand a "chance" compared to one other pokemon. . .). I see way too many...... "Lucario is the only likely new pokemon! I mean, the ONLY compition for new characters of the pokemon series have all been pokeyballed! I mean, us fans singualed out like the only 5 pokemon that that Sakurai could "logicaly" choose from (Ignores the fact that 3 pokemon that noone thought would be playable are now playable under the one pokemon character must of us US fans thought would never be playable even when he was the 3rd most wanted pokemon character for melee in Japan-> RED) and now Lucario is the only not pokeyballed!"..... people and I think thats what he was refering to.

Moveset could be also Pikachus too. I want a different Pokemon Type/Battle Style.
Well, Pika doesn't fight like that. . . theres not one projectile in my B move-set and this move-set actually takes into account thunder can Parz people but w/e, you have your opinion on it.

I have no idea. It's funny that there seems to be a topic for every single one of them on this forum. -_- Unless Pachirisu has evolutions, I haven't played Diamond/Pearl so I wouldn't know.
I agree, there is a thread for almost every pokemon, I even saw a Magikarp one a few days back. And to answer your question on Pachi's evolution, he doesn't have one, but the anime points to a flying squirrel evolution in a later series, not that, that matters.

As we all can see Sakurai chose Pichu/ Y, Link/ Doc/ Falco for a reason. The clone of the Kick-a** main character roles. All of them have their own marit for being in. Pichu-Cute new baby mon of Pika/ Y, Link-well known Link whos important in his games/ Doc-Puzzle games + Sakurai liked his song/Falco-Fox's best bud.
Well, unless you think the Mario bros are too much like each other than I think not.

In SSBM Luigi and Mario are pretty **** similar.

Well, I take it that thats your personal opinion seeing as the term "Luigifly" (have no idea how to spell that) is commonly used to suggest that 2 characters be "somewhat" alike but different enuff to be their own character.
And it's funny, people yell out the ear how Falco/ Wolf can be unique and to Fox or how Y.Link/ Ww Link can be different to Link like the Mario bros are in smash yet anyone suggest a thunder rodent and BAAM, "do we need any more Pika likes?". I blame Pichu having a intentional handle-cap that makes him one of the hardest characters to fight with in melee for this. Had it been Riachu (a stronger and slower Pika) than I don't think nearly as many people would care about a new Pika like replacing him.

Well he doesn't play a large role in the anime, he's never been on the cover of any games and has never played a large role in any games. So the answer is no.
He is an Electric Rodent, Pikachu is an electric rodent. They would be similar no matter how different the moveset. And somebody would always, always say something like "hey is that another pikachu" or something similar to that.
No not really, he isn't well known so how can he be popular?
I was talking about in the games, it's good to not be part of a group like the starters.
I never say any of those characters should be in, I never have double standards because it's stupid to have two similar characters. There are some I wouldn't hate to have in such as WW Link but I don't necesarily want them in, you understand?

So gameplay footage is unofficial, this means that Kyogre still has a chance to be playable and torchic and Peach's FS could still be her emotions from SPP...
