Sounds like a good idea as long as no one takes it negatively. This kind of friendly competition may be the motivation we need to get Mario mains (including myself) out to tourneys. If I were ranked bottom, that would just tell me that I need to work a bit harder, get out to more tourneys, and have a bigger impact on the community...like Hero.

I dont think it will cause a big ego thread. Im pretty sure none of us mario mainers have a bit ego to begin with (maybe a few exceptions lol)
But yeah i likethe link thread more and more as i see it.
Having thier names in their color is pretty cool and then having honarable mentions in the bottom.

Lol I agree with Matador, it'll convince me to go to tournaments in the future and 'rep' with Mario, and all of us to do better with Mario. I think we should do option 2, and 3. That way number of votes get's points, but not as much as say, getting 9/100+ people tournament.

that way i can see the most impressive results and then have the mario mainers vote. i think we should have a cap though. like the top 15 active mario players who know most the other mario players

Hmm...well let's go with how we should do it then, Tournament results are too far and between so we can't really get all that accurate with that, hmm....videos is a good suggestion.

Matador post that into the Tournament Result thread (if you haven't already), if we decide to use tournament to base our votes, at least you'd have it there to show.

If vids are any part of the deciding, I think we could revive Ray/Boshi's thread on exchanging Wii FCs and Brawl FCs. That way people could send replays to people who can put them on youtube. I'd done a few for JO~P myself.

could be sandbaggiing and not everyone has capture cards.
I honestly believe it should be based on votes and tourney results.
but like i said earlier, it has to be a cap at like 15 most active and knows everyone people.

This is a good idea in theory...the only thing is there isn't a consistency...There are people like Matador that are good and deserve spots higher up but don't go to very many tournaments or people like me that has had bad match-ups in just about every tournament...If we even decide to do this it can't be solely on tournament placings...it would have to be on...
