It would be something like this:
Tabuu is destroyed in some sort of hyper-epic cutscene after having to fight three or so forms (what is in being downgraded in power and health and being form one). Afterwards, all the characters are shown congratulating each other on their victory, and Bowser and Ganondorf help up Master Hand. However, it's not quite over...
Sonic runs over to Mario and gives him a looks that clearly says "Now that's done, let's take care of business..." and Mario returns the look with a look of "Bring it, hedgehog!" The final battle in Subspace Emissary is the ever epic Mario vs. Sonic! Stage: Tabuu's Realm, Music: Super Sonic Brothers, a combination remix of theme music from both games, and the end of the battle cuts into credits.
...Either that or something to do with a Smash Ball.

An epic 5 minute+ battle scene with all the characters:
Attacking Tabuu .I
Combo-ing, set-up~ing, etc. .I.i
Dodging his attacks .II
Team-working together .III
Shielding, colliding, intercepting, etc Tabuu`s attacks .III.i
And along with the above, character-specific attacks, items, etc. etc. etc.
Eventually, we win - but the scence have to be (in)tense and breath-taking.
EDIT: Yes, yes yes yes! Something with a Smash Ball.

Everything proceeds exactly as it did in the game, except that after Tabuu is beaten, he transforms into his Final Form: Sakurai. Sakurai plays using Melee's mechanics rather than Brawl; he has Melee's extended dashdances, wavedash, above average (by Brawl standards) falling speeds, jump-canceled grabs, the works. Naturally, he doesn't trip. Sakurai doesn't have a moveset of his own; he can choose to perform any move that any Melee character had.
Upon defeat, you must escape The Great Maze within a time limit, except Sakurai is using the last of his power to force your characters to trip every single time they dash.

And when you beat them you unlock...a second ROB.

Ending: Mario is giving a thumbs up to the cast when all of a sudden, Tabuu who is vaporizing does a final twirl and shoots off one beam. The beam zaps through Mario's torso. Mario's eyes bulge and he makes a pained grunt, holding his hand over his wound as he'd painfully look back at Tabuu. Peach looks mortified, as well as the rest of the cast. As Mario twirls and falls to his back, the cast begins to run to him, but Peach fights against Ike and Marth who are trying to restrain her.
Captain Falcon looks up to Tabuu's essence and points to him, darting over to deliver a falcon punch to the core of Tabuu. However, he is intercepted by a motorcycle and a bicycle kick from the motorist. The motorist is none other than the Mach Rider. The Mach Rider will slowly make a "hmph" noise as he presses a switch. A large rumble will occur and a bundle of trophies will appear out of nowhere.
They are:
The Axem Rangers
Zero II (from Kirby and the crystal shards)
Vaati
Mewtwo
Ashnard
Dark Samus
Boshi
Balloon Fighter
Liquid Snake
Knuckles
Kink K. Rool
Ashley
Andross
Andy from Advance wars
and with all these newcomers, Tabuu trembles and explodes into a red moving background calling out a haunting line, "Ness.... I feel....h...a...p...p...y"
That's right Tabuu turns into Giygas.
From here you fight the new opponents corrupted by the shadow bugs.
All of the other opponents go down quickly except for one...Giygas.
Ness battered and worn looks over to Peach and pats her shoulder. Peach's face is tear stricken as she listens. Ness begins to sing the Eight Melodies. Peach blinks and begins to stammer the words. Ness gives a small smile and continues to sing.
The rest of the group looks back at the two and then begin to sing the eight melodies. Giygas then begins to disintigrate and a strange object falls from the back ground. Kirby looks to it and gives a small "puyo" before looking over to the form of Bowser who grabs it and gives a soft growl, looking at it. Throwing it in the air he throws it at Mario's body, whom begins to glow from the orb's contact.
It was a stock ball. Anyway, Mario comes back to life and Bowser turns his back to him and Peach hugs him and says in a very shaky voice "MAAARRRIIIO!"
Pit gives a smile and Pikachu says "PEEEEEKAAAAA ^_^."
Captain falcon comes back limping, but his helmet is removed.
Everyone gasps when they realize who captain falcon is...
Then the game ends.
If you get 100% completion, after waiting through the credits, you see the helmet less captain falcon turn and reveals that captain falcon is none other than TOM NOOK!

What happened to Master Hand? Last time it was seen, it was unconscious near the Great Maze entrance. We should at least know if it's still alive or not.
You know i COMPLETELY agree with this. It would have been much more dramatic.

Everyone fuses together to make captain planet and smash taboo of the side of the stage, but then captain planet forgot to edge guard, and tabuu grabs the edge, and comes back up, and uses a spell to kill captain planet. But then captain falcon comes out of the blue (for this captain falcon has to not have been in sse till this momment) and wolf comes along in the landmaster, and they fuse together and use the ultimate attack.
LANDMASTER PAWNCH!
