By "a WW", do you mean a "toon" game? Or another game following the WW timeline?

I doubt they are going to make another WW.

It's gonna be Child Timeline on Home Console.
Adult Timeline on Handheld.

PH wasn't bad. ST didn't suck.

Saying a game "didn't suck" isn't a very glowing description either. Zelda shouldn't have just mediocre games, I don't think.

(I haven't played either so I can't give my opinion)

Sorry, I was in a rush with that post. Spirit tracks was a great game. Phantom Hourglass was also fun but the boat was a bit tedious after a while. Both fun games!

I'd agree that ST was a great game. It was much better than PH, which was on the mediocre to good scale. PH just didn't have....something. It introduced new mechanics, which is something of a necessity in Zelda games, but it simply didn't have the difficulty that would make the game good to great.

I think the term, "another real Wind Waker" could also be taken to mean another Zelda with a really good plot. I'd say WW is probably the only Zelda with something even close to a good story. We get to see more emotion and character from Link alone than from all the other Zelda games combined. At least, if I were the one to say, "a real WW," that's what I'd mean. It's what sets it out from the other games, IMO, even more than the graphics.

ST would have been good if it didn't use the bad touch screen only control scheme. nintendo's penchant for bad gimmicks is ruining so many potentially good games D:

PH and ST sucked. Im just hoping them make a WW on the Wii.
Well, if Nintendo released it with new play controls like Pikmin and Mario Power Tennis, then maybe, but I highly doubt it since the "New Play Controls" was a fad. :(

Besides, Zelda Wii's supposed to be the "Platinum" of the Zelda series, so we'll see what happens...

What do you mean "Platinum" of the Zelda series? Do you mean:

Platinum as in gold and silver where Zelda Wii will be the best game in the Zelda series?

or

Platinum as in Pokemon, where Zelda Wii is to Zelda as Platinum is to Pokemon (I think it's this one, and you'll need to explain it if you mean it this way. I'm not really sure how Platinum fared among the Pokemon games and community)?

Of course, it's the latter. See, Platinum changed the metagame for Pokemon with its inclusion of move tutors, and the moves chosen to be learned caused a major shift in where Pokemon were placed in tiers and whatnot.

Ex: Scizor wasn't very popular in the previous metagame, but after the Platinum changes, it is now one of the most used on Shoddy because of Bullet Punch+Technician made it a good attack sweeper.

Platinum was really good actually, I enjoyed it more than D/P. Now HG has most of my time.
