These are a couple old videos from various events but they are all pretty entertaining.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJsK4Ctr2UY - vs Zenyou (Mario) - Video from a crew battle where we ended up with 3 stocks left on both sides.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wk6HfP8wsCk - vs Z (Pikachu) - Probably the best ive ever played so far.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEyXihD6oOg - vs Ito (Metaknight) - Ito is really really good. I tend to reach for kills a bit too much and needed to play more patient

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REfWkaasQyg - vs Angbad (Olimar) - NEVER LET OLIMAR GO TO LYLAT THIS IS A PSA

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JiTYtzYDPI - vs Oki (Metaknight) - Metaknights have a tendancy to try to jump away from everything, this is something that can be exploited.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6fwwgJ6HKM - vs Nicko (Marth) - This is more of a battle of who reads who and its extremely neutral focused.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYdpTO7n0_w - vs Stark (Ike) - Similar to Marth, it becomes really neutral focused.

Any comments or advice would be appreciated and I hope people enjoy them.
Haha already seen all of em, keep em coming! I love watching your palutena play.

On another note, Zinoto is finally convinced palutena isn't bottom 5 and that she's good. He's secondarying her now, and is doing quite well :3 He says he likes your palutena too.

It's very nice and heartwarming to see default Palutena make it to finals. Their ground movement was especially slick.

Getting edgeguarded by that rapid jab was a little unfortunate, but I think the more important improvement they could make is going offstage more to edgeguard Falcon. When they did that in the last match they easily took a stock off of him. The majority of the time they waited on-stage with d-tilts which wasn't effective because Falcon would usually be invincible from grabbing the ledge. Pretty much the moment you knock him off I think it's a good idea to challenge him deep off-stage.

Very good job though overall; it cuts off before the grand finals matches but I hope you won

It's great to see so many Palutena players doing super good. It really shows that Palutena is more than just a viable character.

Anyways, anyone willing to critique my play? I feel like I hit a wall and finding the mistakes I made here could help me get back on track.

Many thanks.

Ok. While I wouldn't recommend using counter for anything, I didn't see anything glaringly wrong. What would you do in the matchup?

I've been playing more matches lately with the Shield button removed. No shield means it almost impossible to shield, spot dodge or roll without holding the grab button, and I'm forced to play safer and faster. I decided to start doing this after realizing I'm getting grabbed in shield too much and rolling to evade attacks when I could be retaliating and challenging them. I'll be uploading more videos like this later.

Tell me what you think.

One of my favorite Palutena players (Obarin) won a tournament in Hokkaido (Northern Japan)!

Can I ask, how you move so fluidly in the air? Like in the first link around the 37 second mark, I see you moving up and down through the air really fast and flowing. How do you do that? Because every time I try to short hop fast fall the control feels stiff and I look like I'm moving slower than I should.

I don't fast fall every time so it doesn't get predictable I also use full hops without fast falling. If you look carefully you can see that I only used one short hop fast fall

Ok so it IS a short hop, fast fall.

Ok, because I try to do things like that and I can never seem to have such fluid mid air control, at least not consistently. Sometimes I fall straight down not being able to move left and right freely, sometimes it doesn't work at all, sometimes I'm just stuck in place.

Hey fellow Smashers! I made a combo video featuring Palutena ( And Zelda :-)

Feedback is appreciated ( I already know about the quality because capture cards aren't cheap lol) It's a pretty solid Combo video aside from that. Hopefully you enjoy :-)

I'd rather poke with jab. I'm pretty interested in the way you might be implementing Reflect, so I'll definitely take a look.

So the true gold of the entire match is at 2:01 but if you want to watch it in it's entirety go right ahead (I admit I got a tad careless near the middle of the match)

The best part was soon as the match ended my opponent changed their name to "UARETRASH" and left. First match of For Glory today and it already made me feel like a king.

Hey everyone, my friend and I won doubles in a 17 team bracket at our local tournament this past weekend; here's the vods of all our bracket matches through grand finals:

Round 1: https://www.twitch.tv/jimmycaldero/v/58425820 at 01:16:00, with Round 2 right after
Winner's Semis: https://www.twitch.tv/jimmycaldero/v/58449090 at 00:30:30, and Winner's Finals at 01:46:00
Grand Finals: https://www.twitch.tv/jimmycaldero/v/58476436 at 00:07:00

If you only watch one set I'd recommend grand finals, it's got some exciting action and I felt like it was my best played set of the tourney. Enjoy!

My locals (SWFL) have been recording for a few months now and I can finally contribute to this thread.
These are a few really solid matches of mine from a recent tournament. Feel free to add these to the main post or even give some feedback.

Palutena Vs Captain Falcon
Good stuff in here:

I go Bayo game 1 (I've since dropped her) but game 2 is realllllllly clutch if I do say so myself:

I lose this match to KidG, one of the best players in our region, but I did manage to take game 2 which was exciting for me:
