I notice some Smash players also play pokemon on the side. Actually, many smash players play pokemon on the side.

Hmm....how's the Diamond scene? I be i'll get back into it when Platinum comes out, and my Smash game will take a hit...

But hey, how do you guys balance all this game playing?

Honostly there isn't enough time in the day.

Well, you can play at night, like before you go to sleep. That's the best time. Except for the real time clock in pokemon, you'll have to set it back unless you want to play the whole game in the night time

It's not that hard. Most of it is just riding that silly bike up and down the breeding area...
Just play on Shoddy. You don't have to play through the game beating crappy computer opponents and leveling up your pokes to level 100, more time for battling :)

...You don't even have to level to 100. You just need your EVs, moveset, IVs, item, and you're done. Plus, there's the sense of accomplishment in creating your own team instead of using some program to max your IVs and making a custom team whenever you want.

If your playing competitively you'll want your pokes at level 100, I suppose there is a sense of accomplishment with some people but I am a very lazy man and to be honest I don't want to spend countless hours breeding for IV's and natures

Okay...But listen.

There's a rule where you can automatically set your Pokemon to be Lv. 50 or Lv. 100...That's all I want to say, now.

Or you could...you know, actually play the game? D/P is probably the worst installment in the series yet, but just skipping over it entirely and using Shoddy? Meh.

I dislike Shoddy more and more every day.

It's definitely the worst in the series I bought it recently and I'm still at the second gym because I havent played it since the initial week I bought it, maybe its not that bad and I'm just losing my passion for the games. :(

Anyways thats beside the point I only like battling and as I've previously mentioned I can't be bothered breeding a team and leveling it up so I use Shoddy. I understand that people feel a sense of accomplishment by pouring blood sweat and tears into their team and I respect that, however its not for some people (me).

I don't want to get into an arguement with anyone over what is better because I'm a mellow kind of guy and don't like arguing, besides it all comes down to personal opinion anyway.

Emerald is best in the series and I'm not changing my opinion.
It's east to me since in smash you have to play allot to keep your abilities up, in pokemon it's like a giant memorization game so, just a couple hours a week on pokemon is fine.

:D <3 Emerald.

To OP, Diamond is pretty good if you ask me. I can't seem to finish the game without getting bored out of my mind because of the slow gameplay, though.

Well I try to balance things I work night shift so therefore I don't have smash there so I take my Ds and play at least 2 to 3 hrs a night of pokemon . Then when I get off work I play some smash . It's pretty well balanced for me ;)

Just play Shoddy if you're short on time; fast, easy to make a team, and go straight to the battling. Also, some of the better competition (imo) is there.

WiFi's more generally fun though since you bred/traded/raised the pokemon yourself.

I love Diamond. If it were just a little faster paced, it'd be my favorite.

But I'll problably always love Red version.

I'm a Diamond player myself since most of my friends got Pearl...

I can't wait for Platinum
