Seriously, if I'm lasering to the right, then I'm perfect. I can dash backwards, short hop turn around laser and fast fall it every time without fail. Then when I'm doing the same thing facing the left side, it's like I'm learning to laser all over again.

Does anyone have a problem with this? Could this be a control stick issue? When I'm lasering toward the left, I sometimes have a problem where I'll accidentally laser to the right. It's the same thing when I'm wavelanding on platforms really. Is it possible that I need to practice more doing things facing the left side?

At what point in your attempt do you fail?

Can you simply stand in the opposite direction and laser fine?

I guess go from the simplest (above) and go through the steps until you get to the part that's giving you trouble

It's just your finger's muscle memory, kind of like how bicep curls feel awkward at first because your dominant arm is significantly stronger than the other.

When I was learning to waveshine, I could only waveshine from right to left, but left to right I would illusion. Just keep practicing and you'll get it even. I'd give it about a week of practice to even it out.

my left hand is pretty ******** (like, literally) so i can laser and do most things facing right fine, i sometimes mess up facing left because i have less grip and im basically palming the control stick.

but if i can get over it you can too lol. its just practising facing your weak side in training mode

Ya I sort of have the same problem. I can easily do an approaching shl to the right but going left my approach is a lot smaller for each laser. I gotta fix this.

Well there are 2 options:

-Or the controller is slightly broken.
-Or you just don't feel right when doing it on the other direction (Meaning you are doing on the same direction too often.).

Believe me, i have a broken controller thanks to my cat's tail being stuck on the cord... -_-
(Was playing on kitchen's tv at that time...)
When i would shine then jump, it would face the opposite direction that when it was facing on shine.

But just find a way to get used to that obstacle and you'll be fine.
(Or just make sure that you try to find out what is making you miss it.)

tip: If i were you, i would start trying to laser in the new direction in a slow pace, then gradually fastened that pace and i think you'll get it right.

The weird thing is, i don't even listen to my own advices at all! xD

i'd try a different controller first and test it out. maybe it is semi broken? if it is i'd recommend getting a new one, otherwise do what everyone else has been saying and just practice it more ;)

Then why should anyone else listen to it if you aren't?
Because it probably sounds logic?

Though i often exagerate when i say i don't listen to my advices, i did try at a low pace to laser both sides (you know, staying at one place and try to laser both directions as fast as you can) and it worked just fine.

Now the only problem i have now is the retreating lasers... -_-

But i believe you did got my point (?).
