Your eyes happened to drift to my location, I see.
I'm in a dire situation right now.
Really bad.
Wanna know?

I am writing slowly. Yes, I am hardly getting that pencil on my paper when I take notes. I only write a few sentences because I am slow at writing. I see people blaze through whole sheets of paper with their pencils when listening to a lecture. Any tips? lol. My grades are fine, but I need to learn how to WRITE.

Write down only the important parts of the note(s). You should also make jot dots if you don't have enough time to write down the important parts. I'd also recommend writting fast as long as you can read your own handwriting.

Use cursive

Or go to that website that teaches you how to do that odd writing style that uses easy squiggles to represent noises so you can write a lecture word for word just as fast as the guy is saying it, with less effort

Develop your own form of shorthand. Make sure you can read it.

Shorten things, don't worry about neatness, and only write down the important parts. In your own words, preferably.

Only write down key words.

If it's a history class, and your teacher says: "The Russians invaded Iceland in 1934 using sub-atomic machine guns, thus causing global warming..."

I'll usually write something like:

Russians to iceland 1934 subatomic guns = globe warmth.

Get a laptop, or one of those stenographer's keypads and learn how to type. Either that, or just pay attention, and only write down names, formulas, things like that, and look the rest up later. It distracts me more to try to take notes than it does to just listen. Many people are like that too, so don't worry.

If you're in high school, ask if you can bring a labtop. Otherwise, just spend less time caring about how the letters or words look. If you can read it, they can too.

What I like to do is just to pay attention to the teacher and just kinda absorb all the things that he/she is trying to say. It is a lot easier than taking notes for me and I usually hardly hafta study for tests because I can retain the information. If you cant really do this then you should probably copy down things in your own kind of shorthand and then retype it later. This will haelp you study as well. Or you could always just buy some sort of recording device.
