I watched the first two matches against GW. You should for sure be teching his down throw. Hit shield in the third beep, the one before the last little juggle thing he does. I didn't think you could cg GW but you did, I'm not sure if that guy wasn't doing anything or if you had the dash grab down so tight he couldn't get out of it. Good use of lasers, very nice use of both shl and shdl.

Thanks, I really didn't know when to tech the Dthrow until now. I'm surprised that I could chain grab him until like 30% since he's such a light character(I think he had the opportunities to jump out but he wasn't aware of it).

Good plan on Luigi's Mansion to first go for destroying the house, I've always just banned the stage, but then I'm stuck on RC so maybe I'll steal your strategy.
That's the only match I watched, but as far as advice goes, idk it's just a good stage for MK and not so much for Falco. You were doing really well in the beginning then MK kind of took over, looked like he was able to predict your actions better after that first stock.
edit- GW can UpB out of it at some low percent, in the 20's i think.

I'll have to watch out for the Up B from G&W and thanks. I need to work on those stages more and Norfair as well(Mks are starting to go there now >.<) and yes Luigi's Mansion is a crazy stage, hopefully I can find some tricks Falco can use there.

Edit: Also, awesome sig XD

Bumping the thread for awesome tier.

We can talk on the way to Tallahassee, as well, Calvin.

G&W cannot upB out of the chain grab if you time it correctly. Hylian used to get enough of the upB out on the ending dair to send me way up in the air after the dair connects, but now-a-days hes not even getting that out in time.

Lemme watch the vids and I'll see if theres anything I can add on critiquing.

I noticed you missed the dair after the chaingrab in one of the matches against MK. I'm sure you noticed it yourself.

I mean, your game seems solid overall... nothing particularily outstanding about it, but that comes with time and experimentation. I'm going to hazard the guess that you need to work on your mental game a bit... your laser timing got all messed once MK started slicing up the space/time continuum and you kept shooting over his head.

Critique:
(and this part is to J4pu also; ) Walking chaingrab > running chain grab. You can regrab just as much with either, but you have no chance of tripping with walking. (Only bonus running grab has is that you go a tiny bit further, and the walking grab is a bit awkward to time at first)

You should laser the balloon instead of hitting it with aerials, its fancier (especially when the balloon isn't over the stage/on the screen )

IAP is hard to punish, you might want to consider throwing it in at random moments.

At mid percents, people will almost always DI the down throw away...a quick running attack will connect on some characters, and will also usually last long enough to go through an air dodge.

Dthrow -> boost smash is an especially tasty finisher.

I've noticed IAP(random) in your vids and I started to use that with my Falco(I'm out of state right now attending a tournament tomorrow so hopefully vids will be recorded) I also noticed that your Falco is more walking and tilts(Which I also started doing as well ;)). I need to be more patient, spacing, and campy(especially against Metaknights) with my Falco. Also the Dthrow to Boost smash I'll start using and I'll keep in mind to laser the balloon offscreen.

Yeah, I just felt like I didn't have any time to react so I would SHDL the wrong way. I do need to work on my mental game, it's the biggest part to me.

really? I always have problems with GW, walking or running CG work better?
Definitely walking.

I only had time to watch the second vid. against the G&W. I think that your SHLS and DSHLS need to be a little closer to the ground. Every once in a while you either shoot too high or the laser doesn't register. I know that our laser games can't all be perfect (except Seth.)but a reminder every once in a while helps. Your Falco is very good though. =D

Couple errors I saw through 3 vids (GaW on RC, MK on BF and FD)

-Predictable recovery. I know Falco has very little to work with here, but you basically just ran into all of MK's smashes. Remember, you don't have to side b onto the stage, you can hit the ledge. I watched the first 2 games vs Will, and I remember 1 instant where he dsmashed after you didnt jump high enough to side b onto the stage - then you just used side b directly where he just smashed, and I think died.

-Shield grabs were responsible for alot of dmg on you. For example nair, dash attack up smash, bair, etc. - all right into shield

-Small punishments could have got you some easy percent - for example he whiffed a glide attack, and you tried to punish with f smash - ftilt would probably have been a better choice or jabs

-Don't attack MK! Enough said...wait for him to attack you, then punish, rarely go in first. Oh, and don't take MK to BF...definately his best stage.

Sorry I felt intimidated by the Metaknight so I kept messing up the lasers and maybe by the G&W as well and thanks ^_^

I side B'ed onto the stage because I felt that he was going to grab the ledge if I went any lower so I felt like I didn't have a choice(ever since that Battlefield match) I'll try to aim for other parts and not in front of him. I took him to battlefield just in case he wanted to shuttle loop spam and that didn't work so well(If only I hadn't SDed )

Canceled Phantasms make it easier to get back to the stage as well as mess w/your opponent.
