I just figured this about ICs

I main ICs and I found this about a week ago. When you play ICs, the only difference between them (beside their color) is their haircut;

If you look at the original costume and the green costume, Popo's haircut (short) is in the front so we assume Popo is in the front. But when you are looking at the red and orange costumes, Popo is in the back and we are playing the one in the front (with Nana's haircut) does it mean we are playing Nana when we switch to these costume? Even their mouth switch

But yes, it's true. Red and Purple(ish?) have Nana in the front, so she's the leader and Popo's the follower.

I believe the voices don't change even if nana is the leader. ie. player controlled character still makes popo sounds and AI character makes nana sounds.

If the voices are the same for both nana and popo then the voices don't belong to either popo or nana. ie. the sounds made by the character simply belong to the leader of the group and not actually popo or nana.
