the way i see it is i wasn't so sure about this because we all seemed pretty clueless but now we have a good base to work from, before we are able to add new slots we will probably replace alloys for 4 more slots and we might be able to replace gigabowser/warioman if you don't use itemsI don't understand a thing about ASM, or even hex for that matter. No programming skills, no C++ or Java knowledge. I haven't been around as long as the hack experts; I happened to jump in at just the right time for PSA to come out, but no sooner. However, I will do everything I can to help out, be it throwing ideas out there, testing stuff, whatever.
Let me say something obvious. When we get this working (and we WILL get it working, one way or another), why not replace the alloys??

Basically, i contradicted my own statements and became a hypocrite.what do you mean
Gigabowser and warioman share the same REL's with wario and bowser. why not start out with getting similar characters working on others, like Link/TL, Ness/Lucas, Mario/Luigi and many more? that should give a simple base of how to get one to work on another.the way i see it is i wasn't so sure about this because we all seemed pretty clueless but now we have a good base to work from, before we are able to add new slots we will probably replace alloys for 4 more slots and we might be able to replace gigabowser/warioman if you don't use items
Well, if you put it that way, then couldn't you have the same character across all four alloys (aka, 4 mario movesets?) assuming that editing there RELs for compatibility works? The alloys share the same module file.
Its not that they do not recognize it, its just that there's no code in the Move set for it to do anything when the user pressed B. there was an alloy PSA script that enabled it though, but it was never completed.Well, even if that weren't the case extreme editting would need to be done as if I remember correctly Alloys don't even recognize B button input.
Link and Toon link are the perfect examples. you can literaly take links files, put them and toon link, and they will work 90% of the time. of course though, there are still problems (if you want to know what i mean, put Eldrian's Zero on TL). by editing Toon links REL to support Link, we would understand the basic concepts of why link wouldn't work on other characters, or at least for the problems he had when he was put on toon link.Similarity in movesets isn't the way to go for the first good switches via rel, I don't think. There are characters that work pretty well over each other that aren't particularly easy to guess, but I don't remember which off the top of my head.
i know that was kinda dumb lol, i read the whole thing couldn't understand much though, dant are you gonna work any on this or are you still donelol vampiregirl
I laughed when i read that part XDlol vampiregirl
