I don't think we ever thought of this, and it's bad.

We can only have 64 friends for "with friends"

Let's say I have 64 friends. But I just went to an actual tournament and met someone new, so I get his FC, and erase an old friend code. Now Sakurai said you have to EXCHANGE FCs. Meaning you need both codes for it to work. What would happen to the person who I deleted? Would he still be able to keep me and still challenge me (I highly doubt it) or would I be removed automatically. Or will nothing happen and an error will occur saying "this person isn't your friend, make sure he/she has your FC." So what do you guys think? I smell a problem.
Ehh, I'd say you're being a bit too critical.. maybe he didn't want to leave it blank so he just threw "64" onto there.. 64 is kinda small, given the amount of people that play, and I'm sure Sakurai knows this, or.. I hope Sakurai knows this.

64 isn't really that small. It's actually alot more then I imagined. Pff, I was thinking around 20.

I mean you are only going to have around 10 online anyway, and the max you can have is 3 anyway during a vs match. Unless you plan on Vs'ing all day long and constantly need someone online, even so, with 64 people, there should always be someone online. I think having over 100+ is a little obsessive, unless you want to do online tourney.

As for me, I already know I'm going to have about 5 "true" friends added, and the rest will be requests from the Internet whom I'll delete eventually.

Do you want us to feel bad about every single point of the game? From what I've seen, you dislike too much.

You made a topic about being "uninterested" in SSE.

You made a bunch of posts about "online sucking".

You made a topic about the limit of friends list, like 64 is too small.

Holy crap. I know it's a speculation, but always dwelling on the negative aspects of the game is what nobody likes. We aren't in denial. It's just we know the game ain't perfect, and are content with what we have. You can say the same thing for Halo 3 online. "Oh, Halo 3 doesn't have "this" and that" online, so it sucks".

Do you really think you are going to have 64 active friends anyway? That is of course unless you randomly start adding anyone who you see.

Making topics and a bunch of posts about every single negative point or dislike isn't going to make anyone happy. yes, again, we all already know most of what you said. it's like you want drag everyone down into your negative hole. i don't.

also, no, I'm fine with online and I don't think it sucks.

Does it lag alot?
Is it cheap?
Is it broken?
Is it empty?

Yea. Whenver we see one of those red flags, then you can say it "sucks". I don't care about ranks/names/ and what not. I just want to fight people online, and thats what it does.
You, sir, win an internet. I want your FC on launch.

64 wouldn't work with online tournys. And why should all your friends have to be active. I have 92 buddies on AIM but only 20 are ACTIVE. I still enjoy talking to the others on occasion though.
That's fine for instant messaging, but you'll just have to get used to tossing inactive friends. I know it's lame, but it's how it is. My IM lists are similar to yours.

As for tournaments, I personally do not want to host 64-person tournaments. I may host 32-person tournaments on occasion, but I don't wanna track down 64 people... >_>

none of you have 64 friends, let alone brawlng friends that you will play with regularily
Agreed, now that I think about it. If Nintendo actually had a half-decent online system and we could add people we play with, then 64 would not be enough. But for what we are given, and the mutual super anti-pedofile security codes that are needed, 64 should be just fine.

It is a little lame. And I'm trying to not be a pessimist but I like how on AIM I never have to delete anyone. I have a friend from Wyoming that I talk to once a month but it's still nice to talk to him.

But we can agree, that with will most likely happen is when you delete someone you get removed from their list, right?

I actually had to delete people from AIM. I forget the cap, but I think it's at 200.
