I just learned about this and dash dancing seems impossible to do more than like once without recklessly double jumping into the air on accident. So how to I do this correctly on the GC controller?

Also, what is the specific use of dash dancing with Marth (because this is the Marth forum)?

Well, if you are a risky person, you can pivot smash out of the Dash dancing and foxtrotting, but the risk of tripping is high. I don't particuarly use it.

If you do wanna learn it, it should really just be for looks or flashiness. It's pointless in brawl, because chances are you'll just trip.

Anyways, not much to tell you, put your thumb on the analog, move left and right fast. It takes practice but its not particularly hard.

Set tap jump off. All issues solved. And its almost pointless because of tripping, fox trotting is useful though.

In melee it was useful, but not in brawl. Try moving your thumb back and forth really fast (great advice, i know). Practice for a while if you really want to learn it, but imo its pretty useless.

It is, and you should turn tap jump off if you don't want to do a jump by accident. And with tripping and the fact that it has to be done 3x faster than melee make it suck.
