Jammer, this is sooo sad. I wish you good luck for the future, and I mean it.

Well, I recently got Huck Finn at my nearest recylcing center for free. It's in German. I'm curious if the word's in there.
It's weird, in my country, I never really heard they banned a book because of things like that in school. You know, in school, my friend told me they were reading "Misery" by Stephen King and even watched the movie. Now that should tell you everything, we don't take this half as seriously. Of course I might be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure we don't ban books because of one word that isn't even used anymore in it's negative context (at least not by smart people)

What the hell? I could've sworn CT was one of the more literate states too. Stupid conservative parents and their over-zealous political correctness policies.

When they read Huck finn, they should be in High School. In High school, I think you should have the mentality and maturity to read a classic book. For christ sake, The author wanted to capture the southern dialect as much as possible. Banning the book will only lead to more chaos and confusion. The parent must of not of clearly read the what the author stated. He said it is in no shape or form racist. That's just how they spoke in the past. They are only hurting themselves by banning this classic novel.
Have you even been to high school? Almost no one IN MY ENTIRE SCHOOL could read Huck Finn and get the message.

Ugh. The majority of people with brains don't use ****** with any racist connotation, and I really think it needs to be stripped of it's meaning. (I wonder if it auto-censored me..) Anyone who gets upset about someone saying ****** in an obvious non-racist manner is just picking a fight and needs to get over their psychotic pc bull****. Especially black people who say it themselves.
