How the SSBM Characters Came to Be Lost...(Story)

There are many stories behind the delays that were put out for Brawl time and time again. No one knows the truth, but soon everyone will. There have been no real historical accounts until now, but this isn't one of them. Anyway, I'd have to say this is a pretty accurate account of what happened the day Nintendo decided to delay Brawl, and the sinister truth behind the disappearances of Doctor Mario, Pichu, Young Link, Mewtwo, Roy, and the mysterious Jelly Bean(Quiet, it's my character)...

Smash World: Part One: The Next Smash?

It was Morning, and some of the characters were already up at Mushroom Kingdom.

"What an awesome day! More chances to beat up random people we don't know instead of getting on with our lives!" Pichu shouted as he jumped up and down with excitement.

"Yeah, but haven't you heard about the release of the next Super Smash Bros. Game? They might be putting some new guys in." Mewtwo said.

"Don't worry, we can take them," Roy said confidently, twirling his sword and practicing blade stances.

Doctor Mario reread his list of medical patients, trying to concentrate while the other characters were chatting away.

"So, Link, what have you been feeling in your left leg again?"he said.

"Nothing, Doctor. That's why I came here in the first place!"Young Link said angrily. Doctor Mario hadn't been taking him seriously, and that's when he chose to ask about something that had been nagging at him from the start.

"Soooo... are there many patients on that list?" he said innocently, trying not to give too much away.

"Well, Um.... Yes, there are lots of patients Link," Mario said, choosing his words carefully,"So many in fact, I guess I'll just leave now."

"Oh no you don't!!!"said Young Link, getting up to chase after the fleeing doctor.
Meanwhile, Fox stepped out of the shadows.

"Ha! You guys probably won't even make it to Brawl,"Fox said with a smug look on his face.
"We will make it! Sakurai will definitely put us in!" said Pichu defiantly.

"Yeah! I hope he nerfs your moves in the new game!" Mewtwo said angrily.

"Right, like he'll do that. Everyone loves me! I place on the highest tier! There's no way he will do that!" said Fox, grinning.

"I'll take you on any day!" Mewtwo said, stepping forward.

"Save it for Brawl." Fox said.

Everyone looked and exchanged glances and murmurs with each other. Brawl? Was that the name of the new game?

Then Young Link finally spoke,"I don't know. Why don't we just stop what we are doing and not randomly fight without thinking? Which we usually DO."

"Yeah, he's right, Mewtwo. You can get your revenge in Brawl," Marth said patiently,"We'll all make it."

"I just hope he's right,"said a tired Doctor Mario, who had finally relinguished his clipboard of mushroom drawings to Young Link during the silent dispute.

Ok, here's part two, which takes place in the REAL WORLD. This will somehow end up influencing the Smash World, but we'll get to that later.
Plus, two very important characters in this are Dan and Sakurai, so... yeah. And also, if your name just happens to be "Dan Green", I apologize, It's a complete coincidence.

Part Two: Real World: Release Date Revealed!

"Wow, that was a long day," Dan sighed as he walked through the door.
He wore faded blue jeans, a dark red sweater with the words "Winner" on it, and carried himself confidently. His messy dirty-blond hair was not too neat, and he had the look of someone who had just walked a mile or two just to get home, which he had.
Dan was a regular High Schooler. Wait, never mind, he was NOT just any high schooler, he was Dan Green! He was a legend among smashers throughout the world, and actually placed 5th in a worldwide tournament once and had even met Sakurai. Other than that, he got average grades(B's and very seldom, C's) and lived a normal life. Nothing spectacular had ever happened to him, but he would one day become the best smasher to ever walk the Earth. That was his fantasy, at least.
So, as he walked through the door and entered his house, his mom called to him,"Oh, Dan you're home! How was your day?"
"Good," he replied, and walked up the stairs and down the hallway to his room. Obviously, his mom got the message that he had not had a very good day.
Dan placed his backpack down on his bed and threw himself down onto the bed along with it. He thought about how his day at school had been.
Some guys at school had been picking on him, but he was strong enough to throw their comments aside. On the other hand he was NOT Strong enough to throw their heavy punches and kicks aside. This had taken it's toll on him, both physically and mentally. Over the past few days, he had been slowly weakening, and he didn't seem so alert. Soon he began failing school and was kicked off of the soccer team. The only thing that could save him now... was Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Dan got up and played a little Melee. Sometimes, he thought he even heard the characters talking to him.
All of the sudden, he noticed something that had been caught under his closed window.
"Oh, It's just a newspaper. Wait! What's This???"
All of the sudden, all of the energy that had been gone from him for two weeks had returned, and he leaped up, now fully awake. The release date for Super Smash Brawl had been revealed! It was to come out December 3rd! And it was already November 27th...
But what he didn't notice was the dark figure standing inside his T.V. screen, arms folded and shaking his head.

Ganondorf was going to make his move.



Part 3:Smash World: Disturbance

All of the sudden, there was a loud boom.
The volcano erupted with such an intesity that the sound could be heard for miles. Lava flew into the air at high speeds and hit the ground as rocks. Really BIG rocks, mind you. This collossal event shook the entire smash world.

All around the globe, heads turned. Thick black smoke blew into the sky and shadowed the ground with darkness. Soot fell from the sky, and choked people with it's tarry substance. There was chaos and confusion everywhere.

On a floating silver lake where the star rod rested, a pink puff ball craned his head over the edge of the ledge to see what was happening.
All he saw was black.

The highspeed raceway was no longer as clear and easy to drive through as it was just a couple of minutes ago. A muscular man stepped out of the blue racecar as he stopped. He looked into the sky, and could no longer see the F-Zero banner. The ground crunched beneath his feet as he ran toward the exit. He was about to give up.

It was impossible to steer through this weather, thought the blue bird, trying to get his Arwing to safety as he crashed the right wing against the side of a mountain. The heavy ash was making it impossible to keep the thing off the ground.
"I'm going to have to crash this thing," he said, and drove the Arwing to it's doom, at the foot of the mountain. This didn't make him very happy. Anyways, The Gorons wouldn't be happy.

BOOM!

"What was that?!?!" Mario shouted.
"Look! Up there!" A small yellow mouse said.
Marth glanced at the Pichu and the at the mountain. Wait! What was that? Yes! There was a nest of Pichu stuck on the edge of the mountain!
"Stay here," Marth said, and he raced up the side of the mountain and dodged falling boulders like it was no problem, but the loose ground was a nuisance. Marth went all of 20 yards before he tripped on the steep slope and lost his ground. But instead of tumbling downward, the trip had made him leap forward and right into the lava. His sword fell from it's sheath and was lost in the glowing hot lava.
"I'm going after him!"Pichu heard someone say, and a green blur flew past Pichu and raced toward where Marth was. Now the race was on, Marth had just tripped. It was Young Link against the lava now, and he was running out of time.

Up on a ledge, safe from any destruction, was Ganondorf. He grinned and waved his arms in a dismissive gesture.
"Go, my minions," he said, and retreated into the cave.

Alright, so this is Part Four of the story. Enjoy.
Part Four: Smash World: Inferno of Destiny

Ganondorf turned around and slowly walked into the darkness of the cave, and Ash fell over the opening, blocking it.

Young Link couldn't make it to Marth in time... but he had an idea. It was a very risky idea too.
Young Link pulled out a bomb and threw it at the ground underneath his feet. It exploded and sent him sailing into the air toward Marh... who was already buried in Lava.
"No!" Link said, dropping to the ground in despair. He had failed to save someone. All of the sudden, a dragon erupted from the top of the volcano. It was snakelike in structure, and had fire trailing along it's back. It's eyes glowed a bright green, and everything before him melted and was lost in the boiling sea of lava.
Link recognized the dragon. It was Volvagia.

First, it went after Mario. All it did was exhale on him, and he flew far off into the distance, disappearing over the mountains in the horizon. Roy looked around, and drew his sword. He glanced nervously and charged. He wasn't going to let an oversized lizard kill him or his friends. No, instead, he would do anything in his power to protect them.

Roy charged toward Volvagia with his sword held tightly in his hand, screaming a battle cry as he flew toward the monster.
"Go back to where you have come from, evil monster, or perish at the hands of this mighty blade!"
Volvagia looked at him curiously, head cocked to the side, like a confused chicken. He then saw the blade in the advancing warrior's hand. Volvagia lifted his hand and let out a deafening roar.
RAAAAAAAAAAWRRRRR! The noise was painful, and Roy had flinched for a second after it had sounded. How could this happen? A roar alone could not stop him! Roy ran up to Volvagia and reached the giant lizard's head, and plunged the blade as hard as he could into downward into it's head... or he tried to. The thing merely just bounced off.
"Wha-,"Roy shouted in disbelief. Volvagia, who at the time had flinched, caught Roy's shirt in his teeth and lifted his head upwards. What should he do with him? Volvagia looked backwards at the lava, and decided that was too quick. No, he would make Roy suffer. Volvagia thrust his head as hard as he could, sending Roy flying into the clouds. Roy would not make it back anytime soon.

Pichu looked at the flaming snake thing, and stood there, paralyzed. Volvagia held his gaze, and Pichu couldn't move. Mewtwo moved in front of Pichu, breaking the connection. Mewtwo then flew up to Volvagia and raised his hand. An eerie clue light encased Volvagia, imprisoning him.
"Wait here, Pichu," He said," I'll be right back,"
"Wait, Mewtwo, I'll help you," said Fox, standing at Mewtwo's side. Mewtwo nodded, and both of them took off, leaving a trail of dust behind them.
Mewtwo caught Volvagia's gaze and tried unsuccessfully to break into Volvagia's mind. Apparently, there wasn't much of a mind to breach, just a bunch of hatred and evil. That, and he was a dragon, after all, so he tried other things. Mewtwo gathered an immense ball of shadow in his hand, and threw it at Volvagia's head. It didn't hit him, he just ate it. Mewtwo kept his gaze, and started charging a large mixed ball of silvery light. All of the elements that Mewtwo could harness were in this ball, and Mewtwo quickly became tired. He would have to do this now, he thought. So he threw the silvery mist at Volvagia, and fell to the ground, exhausted. The ball left a trail of electricity amd melting ice, water and fire, dark and light. It hit Volvagia head on. All of the sudden, Volvagia's flames went out.
Fox sped to Volvagia's tail, thinking that he could run up Volvagia's back and to it's head, in hopes of finding a weak spot there. Strangely enough, when Fox touched it, it wasn't hot. But the flames coming at him were. Volvagia had spotted him on his back, and started clawing at him with his long arms. Fox blocked the jet of flame with the reflector, but couldn't dodge the razor sharp claws. Fox grabbed his lazor pistol and shot Volvagia in one of his eyes. His eyes flashed a deep yellow for a second, then became alight green again, but it worked. Volvagia dropped Fox, who ran off with a large cut in his side, and no weapons.

Now, only Young Link and Mewtwo were left. Volvagia whipped his tail and sent the defensless Mewtwo flying also. Then Volvagia roared, and all of the mountains in the distance exploded.
So, Marth was dead, and supposedly everone else. That left it at Volvagia: 1
Link: 0
Volvagia turned to finish link off. It took in a deep breath, and exhaled a jet of flame. Link had been running away while everyone else had died. Well, maybe not everyone.

Link saw someone else running in the distance toward him. The person was moving pretty fast. Really fast. In fact... It looked like...
BOOM! Young link was thrown aside by the speeding blue figure, which started to glow a golden color as it flew toward he dragon.
It was Super Sonic against Volvagia.
Link wept over the loss of of his friends while Super Sonic fought the evil beast. Just then, Link felt something inside his pocket. It had a smooth texture, with a small piece sticking out of the oval shape and had a couple holes on the side. Link took out the smal object.
Awesome, now he had the Ocarina of time. Now he could save his friends.... now he needed a power source. Link's gaze drifted toward the shining emeralds on the ground.
"I hope he doesn't mind..." Link said.

All right, here is part 5 of the story. This is where the real world meets the Smash world.

Part 5: Real World: Delays Yet Again

"Whoa! What did I do?!" The man said, backing away from the large monster in front of him.

"Nothing, but soon, you will do everything!" the monster said,"You will help us take over the Smash Realm, and soon, the real world too!"

"How- When?- How did you get here?" said the man, reaching for anything that could help him get away from the beast.

"Sakurai, you must learn that there are many connections from the game world to here." Bowser said.

Sakurai groped at thin air, hoping to find something, anything, to help him get away. Suddenly, he felt a table cloth and whipped it out from behind him and over Bowser's head.

"Augh!" Bowser said, tearing at the cloth that was blinding his sight. Where to go?, thought Sakurai. He looked for a way out. Both the doors were locked, Bowser made sure of that. Suddenly, Sakurai spied a window. He raced toward it, and Bowser screamed.

"No! You can't get away!" He said, lumbering toward Sakurai, who was now climbing through the window. Bowser made one final leap and hit the ground. The floor gave out, and broke. Bowser fell through the hole and down 5 floors. You can imagine what happened after.

Sakurai had already jumped out the window, but a doll was now following him. Wait! A doll? Sakurai had fallen one story when the wooden doll drifted up right next to him. The funny thing is, it was staring at him.
"Geno?" Sakurai inquired."Can you get us to the ground safely?"
Geno nodded yes, and grabbed the collar of Sakurai's shirt. They slowly decelerated, and when they finally did hit the ground, it was softly. Still, it was hard enough to hurt. Geno then raced off with Sakurai at high speeds. They were going to find safety, and they were going to find Dan Green, but Sakurai didn't know that yet.

Part 6: Smash World: Paradox in Time

Link reached for the glowing gems and placed them in a circle around him. Apparently, Sonic was having a bit of trouble with the dragon Volvagia. Link shook his head at Sonic, knowing that only the megaton hammer could kill Volvagia. Oh well, ,he thought this will be over soon enough...
Kirby ran toward the red glow in the distance. What could be happening this time? Was King DeDeDe messing around with something again? Kirby looked to his left and saw C. Falcon running alongside him.
"How's it doing Kirby?" he asked, while still maintaining his incredible speed.
Kirby looked to his right and saw Falco running with him too. He was focusing on the red haze in the distance also. "Anyone got food?" Kirby asked them, and they sighed. Just like Kirby to want to eat at the wrong times.

Link stood up in the middle of the gems and put the Ocarina of Time to his lips. Then he blew a melody. It was Zelda's Lullaby. Then he played the Song of Time, and the Sun's Song. The Chaos Emeralds, which had been glowing softly until now, suddenly rose and shone with a brilliant bright light. Unfortunately, Link didn't know that the light was a deep black/red color; each of them were. The Emeralds circled Link several times, brandishing him with their evil light. Since Super Sonic was using the positive energy of the emeralds, the only thing lefft for link to use was the negative side. But he didn't know that.

Link woke up sometime later. He had had a dream that went like this:

BOOM!

"What was that?!?!" Mario shouted.
"Look! Up there!" A small yellow mouse said.

He grabbed him by the ankle and threw him back, sending him tumbling down the mountain.

"What a coward," Link said, waving his twisted sword in that direction. A blue knife of energy flew forward, and into the cave.

Young Link couldn't make it to Marth in time... but he had an idea. It was a very risky idea too.
Young Link pulled out his hookshot and tried to grapple the White Figure's Clothes but he grabbed it and sent it flying back at him. It flew back and slammed into the right side of Young Link's face and sent him tumbling down the mountain even further. Young Link gave one more feeble attempt to get up, and collapsed.
"No!" Link said, dropping to the ground in despair. He had failed to save someone. All of the sudden, a dragon erupted from the top of the volcano. It was snakelike in structure, and had fire trailing along it's back. It's eyes glowed a bright green, and everything before him melted and was lost in the boiling sea of lava.

But the White Figure had just stood there, lava sliding to either side of him, as if it were afraid.

Link recognized the dragon. It was Volvagia.

Link lifted his blade and swung it in Roy's direction. Again, another sharp slither of energy traveled through the air and struck Roy head-on. While he was at it, he swung at Volvagia too.
RAAAAAAAAAAWRRRRR! The noise was painful, and Roy had flinched for a second after it had sounded. How could this happen? A blade alone could not stop him! Roy ran up to Link and tried to swing at him, but missed. He was knocked back to the feet of the dragon. He fell limp and fainted.

Link slashed and hacked at the dragon from afar. Every hit did considerable (but unseeable) damage. The dragon then collapsed and fainted as well.

Pichu looked at the flaming snake thing, not believing what he was seeing, and stood there, paralyzed. Pichu couldn't move. Mewtwo moved in front of Pichu, vowing to protect him. Mewtwo then flew up to The White Figure(Link) and raised his hand. An eerie clue light encased Link, imprisoning him. Link then broke out and charged at Mewtwo with a fury in his eyes that almost seemed evil. He plunged his sword through Mewtwo, turning him to stone.

Now, only Pichu was left. Link kicked him and walked away.
Just then, Link saw someone else running in the distance toward him. The person was moving pretty fast. Really fast. In fact... It looked like...

Well, not really, he was unconcious.
Young Link ran away and Super Sonic turned to face Link.

Falco, Captain Falcon, and Kirby arrived as the battle started. Link took out his double-Helix Sword and slashed at the air, but Super Sonic was too fast.
"He may be fast" He thought, "But he's weak. One hit and he's down"
Super Sonic appeared behind Link and used chaos control. Suddenly, Sonic landed 1,000 hits on Link's body in half a second. The chaos control ended shortly. Then, he had an idea.
"Die Kirby! Falco! C. falcon!Kirby! Your heads will be mine!"Link Shouted running toward Falco, grabbing him, and using him as a shield.
"Hey! Watch it!" He said. But Link did not relent. He held him firm, right in front of him.
"Grrr..." Sonic said," Sometimes you can be so bad, Link."
Link hurled his sword at Sonic, who barely dodged it in time.
Link then reached out with his free hand and grabbed the ocarina. He played one song, but its tune had not been heard before. But somehow, it sounded evil.....



He was in an empty black void, with nothing around him. But eventually, he seemed to notice a strain on his face. Something was covering it. Link reached up and tried to take the object off, but it wouldn't budge. A horrible feeling of fear rose in his chest. Was he dead? Desperately, Link yanked at over and over at the covering, but still, nothing happened. Suddenly, Link began to cry. He had left everybody he knew alone, without help. All the ones he loved and cared about. Gone. Had the energy of the chaos emeralds been too much for him? Link gave one final yank at the Mask, exerting all his strength, and finally, it peeled off, like it didn't want to go. The Mask gave one final hissing sound before coming off, like it just gave up.

Bright light flooded Links eye's and blinded him. He fell to the ground and curled up in a ball. There was too much light! How long had he been out?

"Hey! Link! Next time you try to decapitate me, think about it first, will ya?!" Falco said, prying Link's choking hand from his throat and throwing his double-helix sword aside. "also, think about your choice of words next time you say you're going to decapitate Kirby. All he is is a head!"
"Wha-?What happened?" Link said, confused, although, his voice seemed a little deeper."I went out like a light after I used the emeralds.
"YOU!" Sonic said, speeding to Link's side. You almost killed me!
"Yeeaaaaaah... about that..." Kirby said, biting his lip. "looks likesomeone messed up the spacetime reality of the universe. Also, I thought I saw Mewtwo somewhere around here..." he said, spinning in circles, trying to find Mewtwo.
"What? He's alive? But I thought he-?"
"Stop" Captain Falcon interrupted him," You know that Ocarina in your hands that you messed this whole world up with? Well... you also turned back time. No one knows anyone anymore. Falco was just lucky enough to have turned on his energy shield and covered us three before you got all crazy with the time business. Also, Marth is back now. In a way, you got what you wanted, but also messed everything else up."
"Huh?" Link said, and turned around. Wow. It was like New York city after an earthquake, except there was grass growing everywhere.
"Congrats, genius," Falco said," You just did the mastermind's work for him. And tried to kill us in one day. No letting Link near Chaos Emeralds ever again. K sonic?
Sonic looked around. "Now we'll have to find everyone all over again and team up with them to beat whoever is behind this."
Then he looked down at the mask in his hands. Not good. It was the Fierce Deity's Mask.Unfortunately, he had not seen the last of it, and neither had anyone else.

Part 7 and One Half: Real World: Strange Things

Knock knock knock

Dan Green woke up. There was a loud knocking sound at the door. He looked at the clock beside his bed. It was 3 o'clock in the morning! Who could be up this early in the morning?

Dan rose from his bed and stumbled across the hallway. He slowly walked down the stairs and got to the door.

knock knock knock

He looked through the peephole. There was a man at the door, and he was carrying something that oddly enough looked like a doll...

Dan stared through the hole for a couple of minutes, and slowly backed away from the door. Whoever this man was, he seemed dangerous, having shown up in the middle of the night. Did he plan to break into the house, or even worse, kill him?


Why wasn't he opening the door? Geno thought.
"Where are we? Sakurai said.

Dan looked through the peephole one more time. Phew, the figure was Sakurai holding a wooden doll.

Its just too bad the light source was the gleaming of a dragon's eyes.

Oh darn, Dan thought, Ridley.




Part Two of Part Seven and One Half:Smash World: Mewtwo and Pichu

Two bodies were laying on the ground. One of a humanoid cat and the other of an electric rodent. Suddenly, one stirred.
"Aaaaaaahh..." Pichu said, standing up dizzily. The yellow mouse stood up and shook its head rapidly from side to side to clear up its dizziness. What had happened? His stomach grumbled. Had he even eaten in a few days?

Pichu looked to the left and saw Mewtwo, who lay unconcious. In fact, he was so still, he gave the impression that he was dead. Maybe he was?....

"Aaaah!" Pichu screamed. The very thought of Mewtwo being dead had scared him. That, and he wanted to eat.

Pichu looked around for a stream or something that he could use to awken the sleeping pokemon. Nope, no stream here. Actually, it was more like no water. All there was was sand, sand, and more sand.

"This is going to be a long day..." Pichu thought to himself.

Pichu then turned around and ran in the exact opposite direction of Mewtwo. If he was going to find water, he had to get away from here.



About 5 hours later, Pichu returned with water. The journey was quite uneventful, and not much had happened. He had walked several miles to get to an oasis which he had seen. The oasis was lush and full of plant life, unlike the area surrounding it. The only thing that had caught pichu's eye was that the oasis disappeared after he had taken some water in a barrel type contraption Pichu had invented from huge leaves and bark from trees, and a couple dozen fruit. Who cared though?

When Pichu got to Mewtwo, he immediately smeared some cold water across his face. The sting of the fresh, cold water awakened Mewtwo, and he gave a yelp.

"Aah!" He screamed, sitting upright in a panic. But then he noticed Pichu and the three barrels full of water and food Pichu had brought. "heh, I guess I will just have to kill you for those." he said.

"Kill me?" Pichu said, shocked at what Mewtwo had just said. Surely he knew that they could both survive with the food and that Pichu had gathered it for both of them! Was he pulling his leg, or did he seriously not remember him?



Ok, please comment on what I should fix and what I need to improve on, so... well, I can fix and improve it.

Part 8: Real World: Death to All Who Oppose Him

November 28th, 3:08 A.M.

The dragon reared its head and roared. It was a loud, high-pitched roar that sounded like someone screaming. Yet, it had a tinge of evil to it. Ridley looked down again and clamped his jaws together. Although his eyes looked mindless, he was actually very intelligent. Suddenly, Ridley lunged his head forward at a blinding speed. Sakurai barely had time to duck. In fact, he seemed to move just as quickly as Ridley did. Weird.

Dan came back to his senses and pushed Sakurai in through the door along with the doll. He then slammed the door shut just as Ridley shot forward again. The door shook violently, and a largfe split appeared along the wall around it.

"Hurry! Hurry!" Dan said, guiding Sakurai through the house, "We've got to warn my mom and dad!"

Dan and Sakurai ran up the stairs and turned a corner. Theybfinally reached his parents' door and opened it.

There was a black hedgehog waiting behind it. And Dan's parents were already up.

"Shadow?"Dan said.
Shadow ignored him
"There's no way we can escape alive by running at normal speed," He said,"We'll have to move really fast."
All of the sudden shadow started glowing a blue color.
"CHAOS CONTROL!"

Krack. BOOM!

The house had collapsed as Ridley crashed through the door and broke through the walls of the house, ridding it of its support. If you payed very close attention and had a camera and some way to play back what hapened in slow motion, you would have seen five figures(and a doll) fly out as a blur.


The entire structure of the house fell on top of Ridley and trapped him in there. He had to report back to the commander. Too bad he wouldn't get out of there until later. Or would he get out at all?

Shadow, Dan, Sakurai, Geno, and Dan's Parents stopped a block away from the house..
"Wait here," Shadow said.
He sped down the street faster than he had come.

Shadow stopped right in front of the house. He then entered an alert position.

"Ridley, you're going down! CHAOS SPEAR!"

A million bright points of light materialized out of thin air and flew into the rubble of he destroyed house. There was a ripping sound and a loud roar from inside the house. A glistening red dragon flew from the house. Ridley was trying to escape. One last time, Ridley beat his wings. More spears of light flew through him and killed him. Ridley fell through the air and toward the ground. The funny thing was though, he never hit the ground. He disappeared in a rocket of rainbow light.

"Death to all who oppose me." Shadow said,"Too bad he didn't have a chaos emerald with him."

But, did Ridley really die?

Sorry guys, but I won't be back on these boards for a while, so I won't be able to write any new parts. I just hope when I get back, I will have more Ideas for the story and that it will get more exciting....Well, I'll see you guys in two months time!

Wow, this is really good! It's well-written, and it's a creative concept; it hasn't been written about, that I know of.

I like the drama of it; you're constantly kept on the edge of your seat with all of the plot twists and turns. Also, creative incorporation of Ridley and Geno.

The only question I have is this; when did Pichu die in the initial timeline? Maybe I just missed it somehow, but all I can see is Mewtwo breaking Volvagia's gaze and Pichu staying there.

Other than that, I really don't have any suggestions. I'm disappointed that you won't be writing any new parts anytime soon; I want to know what happens to poor Pichu!

Hey guys, I had enough time to write this, and I just felt like writing,(I'm still not active) so here it is! Part 9:

Part 9: Smash World: All Hail Mewtwo...

Mewtwo glared at Pichu, his eyes a sharp, cold blue that could pierce your very thoughts.

Pichu backed away slowly... and bumped into Mewtwo, who had several objects floating about him. They were all round, spherical objects; Some of them had green on the top wwith a lightning bolt, others were just red and white.

But it made no difference; They were all meant for Pichu.

Pichu scrambled across the hot sand, all the while glancing alertly around for incoming Pokeballs. When Pichu had time to focus and counted, he saw four of them.

"All right," Pichu thought to himself, "There are four Pokeballs... so How can I use this to my advantage?..."

Then it struck him like a ray of light on a completely overcast day.
He couldcatch Mewtwo!

Real World

Shadow looked around at the rubble and broken remains of the house.
"I did what I had to," He had said to the Greens.
Shadow had his own agenda. He didn't need to be bothered by a couple of humans. Besides, they had Geno with them. They didn't need his help.
What he wanted was the emeralds. He had sensed when time had collapsed and gone out of control, along with space. There was now a kind of irony that didn't exist before. Shadow knew exactly who he was. It was now everyone else who was in amnesia.
"How lucky," he thought, "That I am not running around for several more years looking for my past. How fortunate I am to have been spared while using chaos control."
Well, actually, he didn't think that. His actual thoughts were:
"Now that Ridley is down, I need to eliminate the next threat. A mutant life form created from the remains of an ancient creature, just like me...
Shadow touched the ring on his wrist.
"Chaos Control!" He said in a commanding voice. The ring glowed and spread a blue light encompassing his entire body. There was a flash, and then he was gone. He had to find Mewtwo.

Smash World

Pichu had tripped on a large rock while running from Mewtwo. There was nowhere to run, and nowhere to hide.

Link looked around at the world he, Kirby, Captain Falcon, Falco, and Sonic had entered. It resembled something out of a work by M.C. Escher.
"Just HOW are we going to find a way out?" Falco asked Link, getting annoyed.
Apparently the journey up the mountain and into the cave Ganondorf had entered had led them into a maze of winding staircases. They were stuck in one giant labrynth.
"Wow! Whoever made this was smart!" Kirby shouted, standing on his tippy toes as he waved his hands frantically." I want to fly up and have a look to see if there is any food!"
"Or maybe Sonic could run around and give us an overveiw of the place." Captain Falcon said.
"Good idea," Said Sonic, " I'll need a pencil and paper. Get ready for some speedy action!"

Part 10: Smash World: Labrynth of Change

Sonic sped along the ground, a blue blur against the stonework of the room he was in, while Link and company stood a distance away, marveling at Sonic's speed.
"Look at him go!" Kirby shouted, bouncing up and down in excitement."If Dedede can float like me, I can run as fast as Sonic, and I can find more food too!"
Link looked at Kirby, who was dancing around Falco and Captain Falcon, playfully singing, "Look at me! I'm Kirby! The fastest of the fast! The blurriest of the blurs! The-"
Here, Link heard a loud sickening CRACK! and a couple of yells as Falco and Captain F. jumped backwards in alarm at what had just happened. It seemed that Kirby's hyper dancing had landed him in a heap of trouble. In other words, the stone beneath him broke, and Kirby went tumbling down through the air, rapidly falling towards the dark abyss below.
"Kirby!" Falco yelled angrily, reaching into his pockets for something."I can't believe he did this.... Kirby, TAKE THIS!"
Falco had thrown a thich rope down to Kirby; one that weighed a considerable amount, too, as it had a large weight attached to it. Now, considering that Kirby was alin trouble as always, they should have all known what Kirby's next move would be.
A glowing streak flew straight out of the darkness, and caught Kirby in mid-fall. As for the rope, it kept falling, and Falco cursed.
"Falco! We don't have time for that!" Captain Falcon said, grabbing the collar of his coat and pulling him away from the ledge he was about to fall over.
Just at that moment, Sonic rushed back, pencil in hand.
"Umm... guys. I mapped out the whole place," Sonic said, twirling his pencil, but fidgiting with his other hand.
"That's good," Captain Falcon said, still holding Falco up, who was at the moment still cursing.
"Yeah, and I lost the paper."
"You DID WHAT?!"Captain Falcon shouted, dropping Falco and pacing back and forth, with a surprised look on his face.
"Why are you making such a big deal out of it, anyways? I can just do it all over again."
At that moment, Kirby came rocketing down at tremendous speeds towards the group, who just looked up and stood there, in shock.
"Look out belooooooow!" Kirby shouted, flying out of control.
BOOM!
The rock beneath them exploded and crumbled as they fell.
"....Nice one, Genius." said Falco as they fell toward Oblivion.
Link was the only one who didn't disappear in a brilliant flash of light.

Because of course, he had his trusty hover boots.

Mewtwo the Mystic Being against Shadow the Hedgehog
With Pichu

Pichu franticly dodged the Pokeballs, which were so quick, and seemed to be everywhere at once.

"Mewtwo! Please stop! I'm your friend! What happened to you!?" Pichiu screamed,tears flying from his eyes.
But Mewtwo didn't answer. He still had that same, strange look as before. And those same, peircing blue eyes.
Pichu stumbled about in the sand, thinking about a way to use the pokeballs against him.
But then Shadow came.
There was a bright flash of blue, and a being energized with chaos energy stepped forward, and got hit with a Pokeball.
Thonk!
The orb dropped to the ground, and left Shadow with a glowing white mark on his head.
Pichu slowly stepped away, and grabbed the Pokeball, all while observing the newcomer.
The figure had the shape of a hedgehog, and eerie blue and red light dancing all over his body. On his wrists were two golden rings, worn like a bracelet.
He was red and black, with six spikes protruding from the back of his head. on the tips of these spikes, there was a gleam of blood-red fur.
The shoes he wore were a strange kind. They had no laces, but rather small holes on the bottom for jet propulsion.
His red eyes shown with a fury of intensity which invoked a feeling of fear, and when looked straight upon by, anger.

"Monster!" Shadow stepped forward and pointed at Mewtwo."I have come to terminate you, or so you will submit your chaos emerald to me!"
He then saw Pichu walking away.
"Pichu, I shall protect you, don't worry."
Shadow made several light movements of his hand, and coiled it into a fist. The sand around which he stood started to stir, and eventually became a blazing hurricane of dust and sand, which twisted and turned with insane fury, helped along with a bright blue light, which surrounded every small dust particle in the body of sand.
Then it started toward Mewtwo.

Mewtwo just stared at Shadow, and his eyes glowed an even brighter blue.

That's when the attack began.

Shadow felt a kind of drill slam into his conciousness, hindering him so surprised that he fell to the ground. It happened several more times, beating inside his own head like a drum.

" I will not lose to this creature!" He thought, fighting the tremendous power inside his head.

So then began the Material and Immaterial fight between Mewtwo and Shadow the Hedgehog.

To answer Firus' Question abpve, Pichu didn't die. When I didn't include him in the only ones that were left, I only did so to say that he was too weak to fight.

Part 11: Real World: The Problems of Society

Dan just looked ahead into the glaring distance where the flames danced. He couldn't say anything, or do anything. His family seemed just as stunned, of course. One moment they were all right, the next moment they were being attacked by large beasts and black hedgehogs.

They heard the cries of people as they ran about and screamed," Fire! Fire! Come Quickly!"

and they also heard the wailing of the fire trucks and the static of the walkie talkies as they passed them. A large crowd was gathering in front of the house, and it wasn't helping one bit.

"Out of the way! We're here. There's nothing to worry about," the fireman in front assured them, "it's all right. Is there anybody inside?" He called to the other fire men. They shook their heads, and headed toward the fire.

Dan, his parents, and Sakurai(Who was just stunned, of course) just stared with a sadness that mirrored the events that had just happened.

Sakurai, of course,just said to himself, "I need to remove wavedashing."

Dan's parents, who had just realized that they were standing with a strange man who just appeared out of nowhere, pulled Dan away from him. Dan, however, told them that he was Sakurai, the guy who ran the development of the next Smash Game. His parents, however, didn't take that as an excuse, already terrified at the chaos of the moment and hurried toward the crowd, where they were asked questions, and left Sakurai behind.

"Did you see anything before this happened?" a police officer asked them, while holding up a notebook and a pencil for quick notes.

The officer was rather toughly built, while sort ofplump at the same time. He had a kindof concentrated look in his eye, and his large, thick mustache covered his mouth, which was located above his "neck."

"Yes, sir," Dan said rather carefully, articulating his words with great precision, " I saw a...." here, he looked to his parents, who nodded. Even his father, whose glasses magnified most of his face, gave him a normal enough nod. "I saw a.... car, speeding in our direction. It was horrible, sir!" He exclaimed, trying to make his face as realistic as possible. "The... car, sped very fast and crashed through my bedroom wall! I barely had enough time to escape and run out of the door with my parents!"

This, of course, was a total lie, and had no ounce of truth in it whatsoever. Dan's bedroom was actually on the second`floor, but he couldn't think of anything better at the moment.

"It broke through the support beams, and crashed into the heater, and exploded, and some lightning came down and struck the house at the last moment! We had just made it!"

"Mmm Hmm...." The policeman said, "well, son, you better get going. Step into this car, and we'll speed you over to the office, right away.

Dan jolted awake, and shot a sad look to his parents, who argued with the man that he was innocent.

" Look, sir, mam," he said, nodding to Dan's parents," I believe that he was playing with explosives and blew this up. There is no other explanation at the moment. Step inside, son"

Dan followed the gruff man's instructions, after quite a bit of struggling and shouting and begging him not to take him away, and seated himself next to another man, Sakurai, who was in there.

"Both of you shall be taken in for questioning," the police officer said, " and I want the truth, whether it leaves you dead or alive!"

Ok, guys. I'm not going to post new updates for a while, here, so we can just wait for what happens to see how Dan Green and Sakurai are arrested, Kirby and gang fall, and Shadow fights Mewtwo. I will probably not be around long enough to right a new part for a while, so I thought I'd just let you know. When I get back to post a new part, I promise to make it good to... all three of these cliffhangers.

Alright then. Since I'm in the Creative Minds section, I'll post a new chapter anyways. Now let's see... If anyone sees the easter egg in the title, let me know. This ISa Nintendo fanfic, after all.
Part 12: Revolution
With Pichu
Shadow just stood there for a moment, his gaze locked with the silver creature's. His head beat with immense pain. He struggled to keep his body under control, because his knees just wanted to fall out under him. Pichu peeked at them from behind a rock. How could he leave? This was so epic!
Mewtwo stood his ground, too. While Shadow was struggling to maintain his defenses, Mewtwo was plotting and mapping out a detailed offensive plan. Unfortunately, there was something clouding his mind. It was blocking him from reaching full computational power. What was it though...?
Shadow started shaking. His knees shuddered, and buckled. Shadow still had Mewtwo's gaze, though. Suddenly, he was in a hallway, running from soldier. In his right hand, someone else's lay. He kept running, though, with that person. He heard shouts from the soldiers. His heart was racing. How would he get away. What? He saw her on the ground, bleeding. He tried to break the glass, but it was too much for him. "No!" He cried. "Maria!" Then, he felt himself accelerating at huge speeds toward the blue ocean below...

He was back on solid ground. He tried to rip his eyes away from Mewtwo. Nothing happened: he was still staring straight into his cold, blue eyes. He tried again to no avail. Finally, with a final yank consuming all of his attention and energy, Shadow flicked his eyes slightly to the left and was released from Mewtwo's iron grip. Shadow collapsed completely but in nanoseconds recovered at dodged Mewtwo's shadow claw attack. He felt wisps of darkness tickle his nose. "Interesting."
Shadow flipped and performed chaos spear, which Mewtwo used light screen on, deflecting every arrow of light. Mewtwo then sneered. "Ha, then," Shadow said, "take this! Chaos BLAST!"
The area exploded in red light and high levels chaos energy, turning the sand underfoot to glass. Shadow gasped at the loss of energy, and hit the ground. Mewtwo took the opportunity to attack, and flung a shadow ball his way. Shadow quickly disappeared from sight and yelled "Chaos.... CONTROL!"
Flash! Mewtwo slowed down in his movements. Shadow sped up close to Mewtwo and attempted a series of aerials and kicks, which Metwo had computed in his brain before Shadow had even blurted out "chaos control!" Mewtwo had vanished. "This is a waste of time," Shadow said. He was draining his own energy, and fast. That is... he still had one option left.... and Mewtwo couldn't have been in a better spot. He was just 30 feet away, standing there. Shadow felt his own arm twitch subtly. Mewtwo was attempting to influence his actions!

Shadow then sprung up and floated in the air using a steady flow of energy. He avoided Mewtwo's eyes, instead watching the entirety of his actions. "Mewtwo," he thought, "is just as capable of supersonic speeds as me. He can even fly... No matter."
Pichu watched as the black hedgehog put his hands together and closed his eyes. The hedgehog seemed to fade away... yet still stay in tune with his surroundings. Then, off came the restraining rings on his arms.
"Mewtwo never expected this!"
Shadow smirked. It was on.
"Aaaaaarrrrgghhh!!!"
The ground around shadow started to crack and break in every direction, forming a crater, and Shadow rose into the air. Bulky rocks and dislodged boulders flew up from the amount of force being expelled for at least 7 feet.
Shadow was overflowing with power, and he turned red from the amount of energy being released. A powerful aura formed around Shadow, signaling to his enemies just how extremely powerful he was.
And that's just how he liked it.
In a flash, the hedgehog disappeared, just to appear in the air next to Mewtwo, who had barely noticed Shadow had just disappeared. With one powerful kick, Shadow blasted Mewtwo high into the air. But he didn't stop there. Instantly, the hedgehhog appeared next to Mewtwo again. this time, he jabbed his fist into Mewtwo's stomach, sending him hurtling even higher into the air. Before Mewtwo could even reach the top of his arc, Shadow appeared and delivered consecutive kicks and punches, paralyzing the silver cat, who then fell to the ground, unable to move. Just for kicks, though, Shadow slapped Mewtwo across the face.
"That's what you get for messing with Shadow... Shadow the hedgehog!."
Pichu nervously peered over the rock at Shadow, who then collapsed alongside Mewtwo. It seemed Shadow was severely drained. Maybe it was safe to approach him. "But wait!" Pichu said. First things first. Pichu looked to his side and snatched up a pokeball.
Mewtwo had to go. Pichu chuckled at the thought.
