I like the SciFi channel, other than the fact that only a few months (and beyond) ago, everything they showed except for the Star Treks, Star Gates and Eureka sucked. A little over a month ago, they changed their logo, layout, everything. They also brought back Eureka, which I was almost 100% certain they had canceled due to the fact that it was never on. So SciFi (or rather "Syfy") is finally changing, for the better. But here's a few things that I think they should do in order to make their channel much better:
Stop with the horror movies
If I wanted to watch horror, I'd watch Fear TV or whatever it's called. If I want to watch Science Fiction, I'll watch the Scifi Channel! Enough said.
Cut down on the Fantasy
I enjoy fantasy as much as everyone else (probably more), but Elves hunting Dragons with swords and sorcery is not science fiction. I know that the subject of science fiction is a loose one, but there's some cases where even the most ignorant person could tell what is and isn't science fiction. I don't mind the occasional fantasy show, but can we cut down on the Dungeons and Dragons movies and trade them out for the Star Trek ones?
NO MORE WRESTLING
Wrestling is not Science Fiction, nor is it Fantasy (although it might be horror, for different reasons), so please stop showing it.
Change your Ani-Monday, block please
You know what the problem is with anime that's shown on TV in the US? It's shown at some ungodly hour of the night and if normal people want to watch it, they're out of luck. I don't even know if they run this block anymore, but if they do they should run it earlier, and with less Gurran Lagaan and more Gundam.
Stop with the Scifi channel original movies
ATTENTION SCIFI CHANNEL: ALL OF YOUR ORIGINAL MOVIES SUCK. PLEASE STOP MAKING THEM, THANK YOU.
And finally, more Scifi shows please
If Sci-Fi had more science fictions shows on, it would live up to it's name. I'll give them this, though, Warehouse 13 is a great start and they should get the mind that came up with that and Eureka to come up with more shows. If they cant' do that, then they might as well show things like Quantum Leap or at least that animated Star Wars thing they show on Spike and Cartoon network.
It looks like you're starting to get your act together, Syfy. If you do all of the above, I might actually watch your channel for reasons other than Eureka and Warehouse 13.
