I tend to below the average age of most Melee tournaments I got to (I'm about 2 weeks under the age of 21).
Also, a lot of old games have sturdy fan bases. Loads of people still play games like Super Tecmo Bowl and Street Fighter II *insert edition here* at tournaments.

Melee needs to be on the Wii U's Virtual Console (unchanged, aside from say frame rate fixes, obviously making them HD compatible, and maybe fixing up some graphical issues [although I can't think of any]). That would do so much good, and would really make running tournaments easier. Seriously, I'd rather lug around my skinny 30 inch HD screen that weighs next to nothing than my 24 inch TV that weighs about a third of my weight!
