How much longer do you see yourself playing videogames?

No Internet?!?
My time playing them is likely to decrease dramatically, but seeing as though this is one of my favourite forms of escapism, I doubt I'll completely stop.

Then again, it depends how good they are.

Everyone plans on making games for a living. Good luck.
He speaks the truth.

Just because you REALLY like playing video games doesn't mean you're cut out to make them. Just as I REALLY like listening to music but still have no hope in Hell of becoming a musician. And I love movies, but I'll never be a director or an actor.

Shoot for the stars, my friend. Just make sure you have a back up plan in the (unfortunately likely) event that you fall.
Can't say I'm surprised by these post, hell I expected them(I'm surprised that I was not chewed out more) but I'm not some hopeful idiot. I already have some basic programing experience, I know that I enjoy programing and I want to learn more of it.

I'm not going to blindly say that I'll do something unless I truly think that I can.

hm...
I guess I did technically make some games
Programing is a lot more vast of a subject though, past me!

Until I get a gf and she asks me to stop then I'll stop playing Video games. Other than that I might get bored when I'm in my mid 20s

Again, no offense, but if you get a girlfriend who asks you to not play video games and you A) stay together with her, and B) actually give up video games, you're an idiot. If you get a girlfriend who asks you to stop doing something perfectly legal that you enjoy doing because she doesn't like it, she doesn't have your best interests at heart.

No...just no. I would Break up with her. If your Girl Friend can't accept who you are then the relation ship isn't going to work out.

I am a gamer. I married a gamer. I may have a slight decline in the near future as my daughter is born, but one of my kids will someday bring me back into the habit (provided I get out of it in the near future). I'm doomed until death to game. ^_^

I really think that I may be actually trying to get a job at Nintendo of Canada, which is about a 5 hour travel from where I live.

Gaming 'till death!

PS: Buzz, teach her to SHL for her 5th birthday.

Until I get bored. With the wave of modern gaming, this may happen sooner than I thought. Thank god I still have Spore!

Way to be, man. Shows that gaming is not something you "grow out of" as some people think, it's a legitimate pastime just like anything else.

I've been playing video games since I was 3 years old. I take them very seriously, and used to play several games on a highly competitive level. Now that I'm in my 2nd year of college however, I've kind of toned down my gaming. I still do take games seriously, and spend time 100% completing the single player games, and try to get up to a competitive level for some of my multiplayer games, but that's taking more of a backseat to everything else in life as time goes on.

I've cut down on the amount of gaming that I actually do. I feel like I'll at least be gaming until the end of college. Once I get out into the real world and get a job however, it's very possible that I might stop altogether.

Until the day I die it seems. Not that I don't have a life, but it seems like I'll never be separated by games too easily. Unless the games become stale, then yeah, I'll probably stop.

I don't play video games on a daily basis but I'll play them here and there. I don't see myself not playing them in the future though. Well....maybe the newer games I'll likely stop playing. I'm not into video games so much to go out and pay $400 for an XBOX 360 or PS3. I have a Wii but I rarely play it. I don't like Brawl unless I'm with friends and the rest of the games don't interest me at all.

It's the games I grew up with on SNES in the 1990's I find myself playing alot of though like Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major Leauge Baseball and of course the classic Mario's and Donkey Kong's. These games I'll likely play throughout the rest of my life in surges. As I get older there are more priorities such as work and college. I also do more things for fun like running and playing FOOTBALL!
