how many SHL in one minute?

How fast so you falco players SHL? what is your max SHL in 1 minute?
(i was wondering if i'm SHL'ing fast, average or slow)

i tried to see how many i could do about a half year ago and did 135 in a minute.(i might try it again maybe)
bu you know it isnt about how fast your shl'ing.

as long as u can do retreating and approaching shl's ur fine. ur most likely doing them average-fast because short hopping, then pressing b, and then fastfalling isnt too hard. and soon ull be doing them pretty fast

i can get off about 100 shots per minute but I don't know how fast or slow that is.
It's a big improvement from what i could do last month though

I got 110 this morning. Yea I can do approaching SHL, but sometimes if I do retreating SHL I accidently phantasm (twice in a tournament match last tournament -_-) do you let go of the control stick when RSHL'ing?

Try flicking the control stick to rshl, you're less likely to phantasm that way

"flicking" is when you quickly move the control stick in the desired direction and dont hold it.

I dunno how I remember this, but I got around 31-32 in around 14 seconds. >_> Can we use 14 seconds instead? Actually, I don't know if I counted right, there's this guy on gamefaqs who said according to frame data, you can only do 28 per 14 seconds. Then again, that's gamefaqs...And my counting may be off.

I got like 125 in one minute, but I messed up a few times. =X

I'm curious to see how many Mathos can do.

Don't see why it matters. Shl's are only good to how you can use em. If for defense, then it can be slower than usual and what matters are retreating/advancing shls. If for comboing, then it could be how much ground you can cover with one shl, but thats a bit flashy and a shuffled nair would do the job there.

I don't think anybody's arguing otherwise. But simply speeding up your SHLs can improve your game.

I believe that he's a very technical fox because I recall him talking about fox stuff two months ago(and frequently on the fox forums), and he seemed to know lots of things cause of the way he talked and the things he said. But It's not like i'm challenging him to post the video and prove it I just thought it would be cool to see his SHDLasering Skill on a video.

I tried that again and got around 32-33, (split because my timing might be a bit off). Man, where's Mathos...?

I should try the 1 minute one again, but I'm lazy and I think I busted my top tier controller.

Being able to shoot 150 lasers in a minute doesn't really seem like it would be related to any actual skill of the game. I probably can't shoot that many that fast, but who cares about shooting them fast if you can't get them to hit. Try spamming lasers against a caping Doc/Mario, a Fox or Falco who knows how to use the reflector, or worst of all someone who can power shield. It doesn't matter how fast you can shoot them, it's how accurately you can time them so they are valuable to your game play.

He's right, How many SHL you can do in a minute doesn't matter, what matters is how you use them.

HAha yeah I am very technical >_>..Or so I've been told. Also I said this because I am known in texas for my lasering. At the last tournament I went to every single person I played immediatly stage striked Final Destination LOL. I was mad >_>. Anyways I can't upload videos but at the next tournament I go to (the 19th) there will probably be someone with a camera there and I will have them record me doing this for a minute. I'm pretty sure I can do it perfectly while constantly moving and changing directions for 1 minute easily. Lol in fact when I was playing DoH on FD last tourny in friendlys G@be came up behind me and said "How the **** do you do that so perfectly?" XD. I won that match to but only because it was FD lol. Doh usually beats me though always close matchs .

So to sum that up on the 19th I will try and get videos. Today I will go and do it for a minute while always moving and tell you how many I get and then I will do it standing still and say how many I got so expect that later today or tomorrow.

I just tried it once..while standing still I got 268 lasers in a row by SHDL with fox...I only messed up once or twice...I will try it will moving constantly next..And then I will reveres all of them and see how many I can get.

This is in 1 minute btw >_>.

well usually when you spam from long distance you can shl into a shine

I tried this standing (as in not moving shl) recently I got 119 the first time and then I got 126 the second trying to beat my record. They were all pretty low lasers btw, low enough to hit jiggs standing at least, which is usually how I judge whether my lasering is generally decent or not. Made my hand sore though. Would be interesting to get some times up here for running, reverse and standing. Although I thought this was useless info to have at first I actually realized it helped my shl a lot even though it was fine before. Its actually pretty useful to be able to shl fast in falco dittos since that has a lot of impact on who gets the first combo etc.... I love to shl so doing it faster makes me happy.

Wow. Just wow. I don't think mine is anywhere near that close. I prefer the surgically accurate method with my lasers as opposed to speed, but there is definitely something to be said for the number.

I only have about 90 but i can do them with out error also if you cant hit any one with them does it matter how fast you do them. a better questoin would be is how many in a row you can do without messing up.

I definitely agree with quality over quantity here because when i played in falco dittos with my friend he could laser faster but i would laser smarter...if we got into a laser fight i would usually get the better approach. Against a few SLOW *** characters spped might help more, but lif your against marth and u do a rshl to close and he tippers u...U are DI\'ing completely the wrong direction and will most likely die.^^
