How do you think he'll fit in with SE?

I was thinking about the Subspace Emissary the other night about how some of the other characters would fit in like Donkey, Diddy, Lucas and yes, even Geno. =P But I wanna here some of your opinions what you'd think how Sonic would fit in.

I think that Metal Sonic will be in as a boss or something maybe. He is one of Sonic's most dangerous foes afterall.

Why would they hate eachother? I think that he will team up with Mario somewhere along the way or get his signal crossed and go against him, until they realise they are on the same side and then team up, I would also like to hear some real interaction so Charles Marinet [or w/e his name is] has to do some real voice acting not just some random words here and there.

I get the feeling that he is going to be a primary protagonist. I remember from his "Confirmation to Brawl" a scene where he does like this "cool" handshake thing with Mario. I can see those two being good partners. Same goes with Peach/Amy Rose(if she's in the game which I hope not), Luigi/Knuckles, etc.

I think that's dumb, if it's true. You should be able to pick any 2 characters to be on a team. When playing multi-player, who's to say that your friend likes using Mario or Sonic, or vice versa.

I think Sonic will fit in very well and I don't see him being enemies with Mario. The two would make a great team. I don't think Sonic will be a MAJOR protagonist though. He's a Sega representative and Sakurai probably wouldn't want a Sega character playing a main role. Either way, though, Sonic will be my main character to play as.

I have a feeling that the team up of Sonic and Mario is the platformer sort of thing that Mario and Sonic at the olympic games failed to deliver.

I feel that Sonic will join Mario and Pit's party after the two find a group of Primids around a statue of Sonic. after dealing with the primids, Sonic is revived and the three give chase to the halberd

I know they'll most likely be mates. Mario and Sonic that is. But I would like some controversy between the two. Sonic only being around because he has to, not because he wants to be.

I really want a fight to go on though.

These two need to Brawl and settle their rivalry, once and for all.

i think that after mario and sonic beat the sub space, it will go something like this:

they appear on final destination

sonic-"alright mario its finally time to settle our rivalry and end this once and for all"

mario shakes head-"hmp"

they both get ready, run, then jump into each other.

sonic"all right"
mario"here we go"

and then it ends right there

or the other way:

sonic shakes mario's hand then thanks mario for helping him

sonic "dont worry ill be back to fight you agian some day"(or something like that)

sonic goes though worm hole and says goodbye
sonic disappears and then it ends right there.

Either way would be asome

I always saw Shadow as a vegeta and Silver as Trunks, but that's just me.

Shadow is Sonic's Vegeta. Knuckles is Sonic's Piccolo. Tails is Sonic's Krillin/Kuririn, except a whole lot more effective.

Anyway, as for the topic at hand. Sonic may be in story mode, but I doubt that he's going to be as important in SE as everyone keeps speculating. Remember that Sonic is a guest character; as popular as he is and as much as we all love him, he isn't one of the stars of this game, the Nintendo Characters are. I'd be extremely surprised (and, honestly, a bit disappointed) if final battle turned out to be Sonic climactically overcoming the final boss.

Of course, he'll definitely be part of the team and be in story mode. There may be part with him as the protagonist, or there may not (until I saw him in that video I thought the 3rd Party Characters were going to be excluded from SE, I was proven wrong, i suppose). I can' t wait to see what a Sonic themed SE stage will look like.

And, of course, since there's team mode (it seems that you can use anyone whose stage you've already encountered, or something like that, but the main character is dictated by plot), you can do that climactic final battle if you want to, but I don't think it's going to be guided that way by plot and cutscene.

I've always loved Sonic and the Sonic games, but as much as I like the character, I definitely don't think they're going to let him steal the show. It just doesn't make sense given the game.

Um, Knux isn't evenly matched with Sonic cept in Sonic 3, and that was for gameplay's sake. But seriously, can we stop talking about DBZ?

If Sonic = Goku than Tails = Krillin. Krillin is Goku's best friend and smae for Sonic and Tails. Vegeta would either = Knuckles or Shadow.

they wont let Sonic steal the limelight. you have to remember one thing: Wario is in possesion of a trophy gun it is highly possible that someone on each of the five (yes, i said five. Kirby and the princess you save, Mario and Pit, Donkey and Diddy, Link and Yoshi and Fox are the starting stories which are so far confirmed I think) gets trophied (for example, the princess you dont save is trophied and returned to the halberd. it's in the gameplay videos on game trailers. speaking of which, if there is the added featrue to be evil, then maybe, the added side will make Subspace super manipulative.... hopefully) So, you could hope that all the third party characters get the wrong end of the gun and you have to save them, in addition to saving your world

It hurts me to see that Alvin-Earthworms Flash brought the subject of DBZ so much into the topic that we we're comparing the characters, yes they are similar, yes, Yugi Naka was a fan of DBZ, and yes, as some would hate it to believe, Super Sonic is a tribute to Super Saiyan, like DBZ fanboys always say he is.

That said, Sonic's involvement in SE will be large. He won't steal the spotlight, by no means that will happen, but he will be as integral as Mario. Mario and Sonic have no reason to fight - they come from the two different universes, but they both fight for the better good. There is no reason for them to fight. That'd be asking for a fight along the lines of DK and Diddy - ain't happenin'. I would say Mario and Luigi, but since Super Paper Mario, I think Luigi might get a Mr. L costume and you may have to fight the masked villain whose secret identity isn't oh so secret.

Sonic will be introduced Early, and if my guess is right, will be joining right after the level with Pit - under that Story arc. It's obvious that there may be different and Branching story lines, and I hope that if there is that function... It will be done so much better then Shadow the Hedgehog's game.
