Why ? Because the top level players DON'T like getting last places in tourney ? I'll tell you what. Get Ken, PC, Azen, and 1,000 people who have never played.

1. Play Ken in first round, lose.
2. PC takes Azen.
3. You play Azen in losers, you lose.

And you're telling me that you should have gotten dead last ?

Tourney brackets should be random, even IF high-level players don't like it. Just because they're better doesn't mean they should take precedent for seeding in tourneys.

If they don't LIKE it, then it's just like Mr.C said. Better people should win in tourney. No johns.

edit : I realize some high-level players (such as PC) travel to tourneys, and they wouldn't like to get dead last in a tournament because of seeding. But it still comes to the same principle : if you're better, you will win. If you're not, you should lose.

What Mog, would you rather have every good player on one side of the bracket and you on the other so you could actually do well in a tournament? If you're not good, then get good enough to get a seed.

ikno im a new "better than average" smasher here, and my 2 cents arnt worthh as much as everyone elses, but ill chip them in none the less

just like in college basketball, the nba playoffs, any type of huge and/or important tourney of any kind, a seeding system is neccesary. its no fun to have all the best teams play each other and get out in the first few rounds. its absolutely necessary for the enjoyment of the tournament for the fans to have seeds.

now i can see ur point. what ur tryin to say here, although ur not directly saying it i think, is that its not fair, because there ARE some really good smashers out there that arnt known, and unfairably get pinned up agaisnt fastliketree, or doh in the first round. they look over and see doom as they plug in their controller. buts that just how it goes. perhaps those good players need to play freindlies with "pros" to gain some respect, or do really well in their pools for them to make their seeds a big higher.

Everyone that has placed better-than-last in the last few tournaments and has been around for a year or so is ama seed.
Everyone you don't know or who has never been to a tournament before is low seed.

He uses Marth, but not as a main last I checked. His best are Falco and Fox. His marth, sheik, link, mario, ness, and samus are all good as well. Probably others as well, but those are the ones that I thought of off the top of my head.
