Hello Jearbear357 here. This the first smash game im playing competitively and so far its a blast. At first I wanted to main greninja, and while hes still fun to play, he wasnt satisfying enough. Eventually ROB became my main and Ive strived to improve after I fought against a guy named wiigi. I live in utah, so obvisouly theres really not any scene here (I would even say Im one of the best players in utah and maybe the best ROB, but who knows). Currently my secondary is megaman, so basically I main the super fighting robots. I hope I can learn many new tricks and have fun in this forum!!!

I noticed a very big influx of ROB players after he came back in smash 4. I'm suspecting no one picked him up because they expected him to be dropped from 4.

I am frankly quite worried, but there is a good chance that those balance patches will only concern Mewtwo, Lucas(Make sure they are viable), and Olimar(That custom move). If I'm wrong, then we in in for a ride.

I just hope they don't start removing techniques that aren't game breaking, or change ROB(or any character I like) in a way that ruins their viability/makes them boring to play. It's probably nothing though, I just tend to get nervous about balance patches.

My worries aside, I expect mostly minor changes to characters that lack broken techs/exploits and major balancing for the newcomers and the ones with broken techs/exploits. I believe a second balance patch is going to be released for Lucas, which is what made me think the balancing would focus on them.

I doubt ROB will be touched very much if at all though. A bunch of Sheik nerfs would be good enough for me.

My guess on the patch will be diddy nerfs, sheik nerfs, and perhaps villager custom move nerfs. Any ROB buffs would be appreciated though, sakurai!
