Greetings fellow R.O.B. users! Been using R.O.B. for almost as long as Smash Wii U has been out but I've been too lazy to check out his board much. Found a guide that immediately peaked my interest so I'm glad I came.
R.O.B. is one of my 'top 6' characters and of the remaining 5, 2 of them should be rather obvious. There's all of them in no order other than alphabetical. If I ever get around to going to tournaments (refuse to do online ones and don't have the money or a good location for in-person tournaments) I can see myself using mostly R.O.B., Kirby and MK with maybe some use of Dedilde and the recent patch buffs might make me use Ike more. Ganon is just fun.

I was joking, the guy's name is "Direct-i." He really does look just like R.O.B., though. Seriously, it's uncanny. But he isn't actually R.O.B. (more like a cheap knock-off toy, just look at those stubby arms), so it most likely won't affect his relevancy going into the future, lol.

Oh please don't. Sakurai's already given me a hard time. R.O.B.'s default color was changed, G&W isn't really that viable, and Ice Climbers aren't in the game (HIGH DLC HOPES!!!). But other than that, it's an awesome game. And the G&W thing doesn't apply to me too much, since I usually play casual (starting to do some competitive stuff though, been facing off against some friends on other boards who are competitive players).

When I go against a Rosaluma, my first goal is to separate them, then kill the Luma. Then it's just a laser, a gyro, and a lot of damage done to Rosalina. I'm surprised how many people forget her Gravitational Pull move.

Thankfully I don't run into competitive Rosalumas. Like I said, I'm more of a casual player, and therefore I usually go on For Fun. But lately I haven't been using the Online mode unless I'm battling with friends.

Hello ROB Squad. I've decided to try picking up ROB to replace my Duck Hunt (ROB isn't as screwed against anti-projectile characters and has more KO power) and i've done pretty well with him in FG Doubles (60%-70% is my idea of good, considering I hover around 40%-45% with my other characters). I would like to know if any of you know any useful tips for ROB. I dabbled in a few of the guides here, but i'm sure there's more to learn about him than that. Thanks if you can help.

Always have a projectile out, remember that Up Air and Nuetral Air are stupid good, Down Throw and Nuetral Air are good combo starters (Down Throw to Up Air). If they try to get rid of a Gyro, capitalize on that, since it's usually a big mistake and can be punished. R.O.B. also has a very good zoning game and his Smash attacks have been given good buffs along with Forward Smash having much more range, giving him more killing power and options.

I'm sure the rest of this thread has other useful tips, those are just my tidbits of advice. Hope this helps!
