Ones To Know

-Play aggresive w/ lasers grabs and jabs
---> nair, dair and jab r ur best options for grab(jab is best, then nair then dair)

-CG (to ~43) --> to gatling or dair tech chase works well

-REMEMBER jab is faster than anything metas got. if ur playing close dont stay midclose or he can out range u w/ ftilt. If u accidently get out of range (~meta ftilt range) do full aaa jab. (dont try to smash after aaa, a smart meta is rdy for the atk after.)

-and when it comes time to kill LOOK for meta lag. after any smash but dsmash. after nado, under shuttle loop glide, after or during neurtal a, and when getting back on the edge. there are more obviously but u get the point. look for an opening .

- dair( non ff) spaced to upsmash seems to mindgame for the kill. and if DI'd right it wont be grabbed punished.

-also for killing if you grab, a meta jump release can cause a likely upsmash.

Remember if you grab them and they jump release you get a guaranteed boost upsmash on them. i've done this many times

The most common way I find myself killing MKs are either:

-Mind gamed Fsmash
-Dair tech chase to Uair or Bair
-Spot dodge to Dsmash
-Bair their shuttle loop attack or glide attack cancel

Jabx1 leaves you with more frame advantage, on lower percentages jab>dtilt is an actual combo.

In either way try jab1, it might combo if the knockback of jab1 is set.

Reliable kill combo ftw

I believe it wasn't guaranteed though. I thought MK could Nair himself out. Or does he still take knockback, you just get hit as well.

It's a guaranteed kill if i do not mistake (i've done it a couple of times myself). But this won't work on a MK that does know of this.

Mildly relevant side-note: According to the "List of moves that easily beat Metaknight's neutral B," Falco's blaster and shine both beat tornado.

-trip w/ reflector to chase w/ upsmash
-use neutral aaa to lower shield, (no right after that'd = shuttled looped falco) then soon use fsmash (w/ spacing) to lock the meta.(1. roll foward > release charge. 2. stay broken shield)

These are both bad. Shine = not safe at all unless they trip (and sometimes not even then), so it's a risky sort of thing to do.

The other one, like you said, will get you Shuttle Looped OoS, and it has invincibility on startup, AND Mk still has his Glair if he misses (as opposed to someone like Marth).

The other options you listed aren't great either, For the jab x2 -> Dtilt to kill an MK with good DI, I'm pretty sure they have to at least be at >160%, which isn't really as long as you want MK to live. As for the jab -> Dsmash, we already know that jab -> usmash doesn't work, and one frame of difference won't save you from a counterattack, especially when it's MK you're dealing with.

Usmash is your most reliable killer in this matchup.

That's my opinion.

This is what I find to be the best kill moves, listed in order by reliability:

1. Usmash
2. Bair
3. Fsmash
4. Dsmash
5. Uair

I find that in the Meta matchup, Bair serves more as a damage racker than a kill move. And since it's MK, you don't really have the option of unstaling it with lasers.

Uair is a good move.

Wow. Wonder why I didn't think of that before.

I can't always DACUS. I've been using R button for grab simply to make DACUS easier, because the Z button just didn't cut it (and R is right above Z).

Although I never dash attack or grab. But the problem is that most of the time I'm not doing the full boosted upsmash. I'm mostly just doing the gattling combo (not hitting the opponent). I need to get the timing down perfectly. Because I find this VERY useful.

ive tested this more, and none of the originally posted stuff works. upsmash is easily the best. but i switched my play style from camp to aggresive grabbing(not missing, planned) and its working amazingly. I dont rly have a meta problem. the local i play w/ seem to just get killed vs my falco now.
