Note: The actual hitting it IS NOT THEORETICAL, you can hit it. It's just the consistency and how practical it can be that is Theoretical.

**Imagine, hitting MK with fair EVERY TIME they tornado. :)

So playing a bit ago it occurred to me that people can DI out of tornado and airdodge through it right?

If that's possible then... so I started Mind Crunching.

So I had someone tornado me for a while and this is what I came up with.

On the floor if you see a tornado coming in, preemptively DI (UP** There has to be a better way to DI this though) and you'll see marth pop Up right above the tornado.

Just a teeny bit.

You can Fair (WITH THE C-SITCK) as you're going down and it hits MK!

Couple things though (all theoretical):

- The way you DI might depend on percent
- It's harder to do vs a stale (er) tornado
- If they rise up with tornado by mashing the button it's harder to do **
- Works great on people who like to tornado in place, in and out!!!!
- Then can mess with you with a tornado mixup (lol).

** However since they rise up and you're DI'ing up/away etc you end up getting out of tornado to land with dair/fair whatever.

NOTE: YOU CANNOT SPAM C-Stick!!!!!!!! You need to time it.

---------------------------------------

Bair can also hit it but the it requires you to guess how they're going to direct the tornado.

-------------------------------------

I think this is what it is (theoretical) :

-If they stay in place with tornado, or try to go away, Fair works.
-If they go in too deep (AKA trying to tornado past you) , DI up and IN and you'll end up on the other side of tornado**

*Eye to eye with the area where you can hit tornado, or it might trade with tornado (lol not kidding. Just a little smeck.)

All this subject to change since I don't have it quite down yet. I'll keep messing with this.

Food for thought:

If you can fair...and bair... what about tipper nair? Side B? Be creative, let's get this thing going. Help me test this.

-------------------------------------------

The most important thing though, OTHER characters can use this. Why not? Right?

I thought we already knew about sideB knocking tornado out, since it has that transcendant stuff going on.

Interesting idea though.

Oh yea Side B can stop tornado but this isn't about Stoping it, its about hitting it for every tornado they do.

That sounds so awesome, we'll see I just need people to help me test it.

Can't MK just DI past you? The hit that knocks you up will always face you toward MK.

However, there might be enough time to side B right after hitstun to get the small vertical boost that you get when using B moves right out of hitstun like that.

Edit: I'm talking about using side B to stall without wasting a double jump, but now that I think about it, double jumping and then immediately side B-ing to stall doesn't sound like a bad idea either depending on how long he's been mashing.

If they direct the tornado past you, you can DI In, you'll end up on the other side of it and you can bair it =)

The only problem is guessing what the Mk is going to do.

Lol havok i'll show you how to **** a nado with marth =) you can do alot more then just fair!

I think he might be able to sdi to counter while in the nado but not too sure yet still testing.

And side B only beats the nado if it's a grounded one.

I've always had trouble with MK's nado, everytime I tried a fair or bair when MK was doing it it would end up me being sucked in the nado or the move wouldn't go through.

I should probably try side b cause I never tried that to stop it

Um guys. I recently discovered a spacing technique that almost always tips the tornado with the Fsmash. Well first you have to be in the ground. It doesnt matter if the nado is in the air or in the ground. Just quickly do DB1 and then Jab then Fsmash. DB1 and JAb will Pushback the nado if done quickly and with the correct timing, it will get in the zone for your Tippered Fsmash. I have a video and i will upload it this week when i have time.

By my experience, fsmash, upB oos and counter are the best options against tornado.
If he land the tornado probably is a good option, DIing up and footstooling works well sometimes

Why bother? Nobody is never going to ban you anyways. <<

Still, I find it funny how the Marth mains find such silly ridiculously overcomplicated strategies that require hours upon hours of practice when they could just downB and smack MK for a free 7%.

jk Havok's cool. :D

Lol kitamerby is right. Well my technique is kind of some Flashy ****. Best leave it to Mr. R to use it. Simply just Jump back from time to time and have fast enough reflexes to counter if they Nado. And there's your free 7% Kitamerby :D
