when you're not good and a noob, the thing to do is to keep your mouth shut and learn. that means both socially and in melee. ever heard the saying, when in rome, do as romans do? yeah. people really don't give a **** about the results of your other matches unless they're really good friends with you. if no one asks, don't tell. (and even then a lot of them are simply being nice -- don't take it as an opportunity to tell your boring *** life story about what noob crap happened in the match that you're johning about -- we don't care.) similarly, to get better in melee, watch players who use your character better than you and copy what they do and see what works.
if your philosophy was just "i'm gonna shut the **** up and focus and just try to get better and not worry about the margins i'm losing by," you would be much better off.
