Your real good wit Sonic.
That was a close match
I like how u did the spin dash to homing attack combo...
My only advice is to mix it up
u can also do a up air, bair, fair, and nair too after u hit your opponent with spin dash/charge
It takes some practice to hit them with those, but looks cool when u do it:)
I hope this helps:)

No offense but you did WAY to many Dairs. Don't short hop them either, you got punished a couple of times. Try to mix up your Spin Dash/ Charge combos, you did too many homing attacks after them as well. You also should have used other methods to gimp Lucario's recovery (Dair's, edgehogging since his recovery is so awful). Your decent at dodging though.

Overall, you just need to mix up your approaches.

You taunt way too early. Humor aside, if you want to win make sure you do everything you can to ensure the other guy dies before you start screwing around.

You missed at least two gimps because of stupid crap like that.

And the non-auto-canceled dairs were... pretty overused. You also like to HA way too often after spin dashes.

I'm just your problem~
Spin Dash/Charge to Homing Attack isn't really a legitimate follow up combo. It's mainly used for luring an opponent into false security after your Spin Dash passes their shield. I wouldn't abuse it as a consistent damage racker. Try throwing in some aerials from out of your Spin Dash. There were numerous opportunities where it could have led into a fair.

Most of the time when you tried to spring gimp, you would have had better options in fair or bair. Spring gimping is best used lower beneath the ledge to throw off recovery efforts.

To much dair on stage without auto canceling it, and that can be a bad habit.

One thing I've learned about Spin Charge: It's not a long-distance closer. If you can, approach on foot. From there you can run into a Spin Dash or a Short Hop ASC. Spin Charge on the ground is more of a quick fix for when you want to lead into a combo at midrange. If you're dealing with long range projectiles, however, you can close in with a Spin Shot if you need to. Shield Dashing works as well.

Too much dair on stage without auto canceling it.

Work on landing your aerials on off stage opponents. There was a missed bair at around 6:56 that probably could have staged spiked your opponent had it connected.

Too much dair on stage without auto canceling it.

Not too bad. It's a basic Sonic save for a few bad habits. You should learn how to more effectively use your aerials, especially out of a Spin Dash/Charge.

You are seeing that the Spin + Homing is not working, yet you keep using it.

You are seeing that those Dair are giving you an horrible lag AND your opponent is punishing you for it, yet you keep doing it.

What you need, sir, is the basic common sense of every fighter game.

My trolling is a healthy thing.
Without me, much of the mod attention we get today wouldn't exist!

It's like masturbation, it's wrong and right at the same time. rofl.

Then why are you in the SONIC boards in the BRAWL section lol see i can do that to
I heard Sonic was in Melee.

EDIT: On a serious note, no that is not it.
But that should get you started. If you have recording devices readily available and can post regular updates then I suggest you post your Sonic after you've tried tweaking it a bit. Then maybe we can get in to some of the other stuff that's not so obvious but important.

You did a good job, but you need to change it up a bit. And umby your pic is a little bit too adult like. And I can make a suggestion on getting damge easily. You should grab more often and build up more perfcent on your foe. But not bad man. Keep up the good work man.

Heyy your a good sonic :)

it's been mentioned but yeah the only problem is your dair usage, maybe just try springing before it, im pretty new so i can't remember what its called when you cancel the lag :D

also it gets quite predictable after a while so yeah just try using different or new combos to keep the opponents guessing :)

i like how you make good use of the side and down b moves tho cos ive seen some sonics who rarely use them primarily for attacks 0.o

id like to have a match with you =D

muchlove x

I rate your Sonic a 1/10.

You abuse your specials too much, you never try to kill him with U-air (One of Sonic's only good killing approaches, you don't B-air enough, you need to SH more, and you miss almost all of your attacks.

It would be better if you reduced the times you use your spin dashes because those are just asking your opponent to free shot you. I saw a bunch of opportunities that you could've started a combo or just juggle but you did the spin dash...

Pero, to be honest, I don't think this Sonic was good at all.

Now, before you all kill me, I'm sure you all know Sonic's position as "One of the worst characters in Brawl". I love Sonic, I used to use him in tourneys while I was going through my "Ike Rebellion" phase. However, I think this Sonic had several major flaws (That I pointed out in my last post). With that, and taking in the fact that you have to be a REALLY GOOD Sonic to be as good as an average Snake, we shouldn't be flattering/sugar-coating our comments. Get better. If we're harsh judges, we do it out of love. <3

That's just my thoughts. ;) You can return to your er...little dispute here.

Nyjin, ehh i dont take any offense to it for a sonic he alright to me. He doesnt suck so Hes hopefully better now. Of course from that match he could get better but who knos he mighta patched some of it up. But ehh ur right Sonic is a horrible match up to snake i agree, all the snakes that have pwned me (well I should stay away from snake holes huh?) Now back to being double teamed. I was saying Gansta is more gang affiliated than gangster its what the (darn time for raceism) the "White people" say. lol
