Youtube isn't working for me right now, so I don't know exactly what you are trying to do, but I'm gonna assume you're trying to waveland right? Just jump above the platform and air dodge at an angle in the way you want to slide, or waveland. I'll try to see if youtube is working so I can figure out what exactly you need help with

k, got the video to work and it was what I was thinking of. Basically it's exactly as Junglefever said, just jump over the platform and angle the waveland (airdodge). The closer you are to the platform the better. Wavelanding from the edge is also a good thing to learn

Things to know:

1. Taj has really smexy wavelands with Marth. Watch some of his videos (I think he does it in the Taj vs PC vids on yoshi's island).

2. If you are wavelanding facing forward if you want to be able to slide off you need to not be holding shield by the time you reach the edge and you need to be holding straight forward (not angled) by the end of the platform. Otherwise you will get the teetering animation and just stop at the very end of the platform.

3. On the lower platforms, jump to double jump wavelanding is faster than single jump to waveland. You can also look cool by doing Marth's backflip jump to waveland instead of his normal jump this way. This isn't really important and you do risk getting hit out of your second jump but you should get familiar with wavelanding both ways.

4. Learn your characters exact height above the platform that enables you to waveland. Once you know this it becomes a lot easier to do it consistently. Other than that it's just practice.

Mind re-phrasing that? I got confused a bit.

And I keep going through the platform -_-, so I'm thinking that this'll help.

I just do it a bit lower then you would if you were going to L cancel..so just airdodge a bit lower then where you would have to l cancel at...works for me =D

I think this is what he means:
If you want to continue off the ledge, you need to stop holding shield and the control stick must be forward instead of down/forward.
Otherwise, you'll stop at the edge of the platform teetering instead of continuing off it. =/

I can wavedash when I'mon platforms just fine, lol.

But whats a good way to practice wavelanding onto platforms from, lets say, when you jump from the stage?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Zqy...DD0B86A5&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=51

Like here at 3:04^ Of course, I'm not Forward, lol.

I'm trying to figure it out since I have troubles moving smoothly around stages with platforms.
What do you mean, "what's a good way to practice it"?

Do it in training mode.

This is what I mean. Usually when wavelanding off a platform facing forward you have to hold some combination of forward and down (usually as close to the horizontal as you can). But to actually fall off the platform, right after you do the waveland you need to switch to holding forward. I'm kinda explaining it badly but I hope you get it with Aeghrur's comment.

If your going through the platform it most likely means your doing it too soon.

i dont knoe if this helps...but the way i learned to waveland was basically try to waveland on a platform, after the first one..i press back a little then jump on top of the platform to prepare for another waveland..so technically im repeating the process...waveland off, jump over a platform, wait to waveland then of course waveland and repeat..so u get the idea...after that...practice the timing or memorize the measurements of each platform...basically hop and as soon as ur feet touch the top...waveland rite away for a perfect landing and after that...land back down...either by fastfalling off the platform or falling through the platform...i suggest fastfalling off along with a attack like a Fair or Uair
