Nooooooo this match is much more than that.

It's about spacing, conserving your KO moves, knowing the match up well, and playing smarter than the other MK.

If you space yourself perfectly you will always hit them, even if you get hit yourself...

Heres a few tips:

In MK ditto's there are alot of Step Dodges. Use this to your advantage and start predicting your opponent's step dodges and punishing them for um.

Nado is really good in the match up if you use it right. Catch MK on the tiny ammount of lag frames where he can't attack... Also if your opponent charges you with nado, don't just nado back "tho this does work if preformed right". F+Air works wonders on stopping Nado. D+Air does too =P

Hmmmm Be smart about Edge Gaurding MK. You NEVER want to be above MK. Thats just asking to get Shuttle Looped.

From my exp, Shuttle loop dosn't break Nado =D, SO use this to your advantage ;P.

Your tilt game is KEY here. F+Tilt is amazing at stopping most approachs, and D+Tilt is crazy good at stopping dash grabs and attacks.

But yeah man, Just conserve your D+Smash and Shuttle Loop for about 80%+, and just out space him.

Yeah man... I have like 3 dumb friends who challenge me to random MK dittos.

When I lost the first one like 2 months ago, I was like "WTF?!?! O.o". Realized that I needed to learn how to fight MK than learned how to fight him. I rematched him at the next smashfest and got meh a 3 stock and 2 stock =P.

But yeah man, Just do the stuff I listed, and you should do great ;D

guard well over the edge to get them into the habbit of trying to grab the ledge. Once you've set that habbit into your opponent... MINDGAME! ...grab the ledge ftw!

One tactic i found useful is waiting above the edge while your foe is recovering then hug as he performs his shuttle loop. the shuttle loop will go past you, then quickly drop down after i does and perform your shuttle loop. If done correctly the shuttle loop will send him flying in the direction he came. Your first Ftilt is probably the move with the most range and a small amount of lag with it. you can use this for spacing and free damage. Typically you should do a ftilt then d tilt combo when your foe is at low percentage that way your dtilt may cause a trip. When he trips you can dash grab them while they are tripping then proceed with an up throw for forward throw. when your foe is higher in damage just go ahead and use all 3 ftilts for an easy ~12 dmg. if he is coming at your with a Mach tornado you can use the shuttle loop to hit him out of it, but just keep in mind you should try to keep the shuttle loop fresh for when you need it at the 60-100% damage range. So if he is at low percentage you can use the shuttle loop to break the MT but you should try and not use it when he is at higher percentage. So when he is coming at you with a MT at higher percentage go ahead and try a MT your self, try to level your MT above his when he is coming at you as it is more likely to break hsi first. This works great as it decreases diminishing returns greatly. if you find yourself behind him during a sidestep fenzy. just sheild while he sidesteps, most of the times he will attempt a dsmash which you can then punish afterwards with your own dsmash. Right now i gtg but ill post more later.

Ummm Shuttle Loop dosn't break MT man... And how exactly does F+Tilt provide free spacing? You should space it normally to begin with so you don't get shield grabbed.. Cuz I know for a fact that F+Tilt dosn't autospace you.

Actually if he trips and you grab him, you should down throw him. It puts you in a MUCH better spot.

Wow, you pretty much said every thing I just said... Cept you had errors =O

Shuttle loop does break the MT, while he is approaching you with a MT activate the shuttle loop and it will hit him out of it.

Dude no it won't... The only way it will is if the person using MT isn't giving it priority. You have to keep hitting the B button to give the MT it's priority...
