Help with item textures/common3.pac

When I tried replacing the item textures in common3.pac,
the game freezes after wii-strap picture. Help, please!
I replaced them using brawlbox from brawlvault.
Do I rename the common3_en inside the file to common3?

Hmm... did you use Riivolution?
I don't know why. but sometimes Riivolution chokes on certain common_.pac files.
I don't understand why this issue exists, but try the Gecko OS method, see if it works.
Tell me what happens.

You may have unintentionally raised the file size.
common.pacs have super strict file size limits.

Compare the file size of an unedited Common3.pac and your edited Common3.pac. If the file size is too drastic, the game will crash when loading it.
