Honestly Robin looks kinda "meh" to me, what with the durability mechanic. Is there anything really interesting about his playstyle?

We never had a magic swordsman before in Smash and you can't just spam moves due to his limited usage with his swords and tomes. You have to think more thoroughly with how and when you use his moves. Basically, his moveset is all about tactics.

Meanwhile Shulk can use the POWUH OF THA MONADOH to literally bend the fabric of the universe to the point where he could probably control time if he wanted to (given the way that his Visions work).

But then, this isn't a WHO WOULD WIN debate.

You know, given the limitations, I bet his moves are actually pretty powerful.

Xenoblade is hella good. It ranks in my top 5 games EVER, and rivals FF6 and Ocarina of Time for my favorite RPG of all time. I had some interest in the new Smash game, but I was sort of just going to get it whenever. Play on a friend's until price dropped, etc. But now with Shulk, I'm dying to get this Day 1

I bought Xenoblade for $70 at my GameStop.
When I got a few hours in, I started to support Shulk immediately full time (I kinda supported before, but playing it made my want for him skyrocket).

I see so many people wanting to main both Shulk and Robin. Maybe it's because they're both badass sword-fighters?

OK, is anyone else having trouble getting the Shulk smile to show up? Whenever someone uses it all I see is a blank space, and the same goes for where it should be in the Smash 4 section of the smiles menu. I know it's there, as the code for it pops up whenever I hover my mouse over where it should be.

Edit: Never mind, I used some old advice I got on another forum long ago for when images refused to show up, and it worked like a charm. SHULKS ALL AROUND!

the fact his magic looks insanely op and the fact he can heal while damaging and I heard he can do mid air smash attacks with the lavin sword not sure if the last one is turn but yeah he looks to be a monster till his tomes/sword breaks

The surprises here for me is the lack of Dedede and Diddy Kong as well as no Zero Suit Samus, Peach and Olimar. (Also, Toon Link instead of classic Link?) It probably just is that they didn't want to add any more characters from the E3 demo, but we can at least assume that none of these are secret characters.

There's no way that's the starting roster. The simple fact that Link would be locked while Zelda, Sheik and Tink would be starters is enough to blow the idea that this is the starting roster out of the water.

I'd have loved to see Melia and/or Reyn, but I honestly don't dislike any of the characters, and Riki is fine by me.

Still hope Melia, Reyn, Sharla and Fiora show up somewhere though.

Also: Bets as to what Yoink! actually does? Steal items out of people's hands?
