:awesome:
Another absolutely gorgeous area! Just... make every stage Xenoblade themed. That'd be great.
I really can't decide what stage I want. The potential is just too good.

This is a pretty vague thing to answer considering we don't know how he plays like.k

I'd say wait on this questionfor now.
I thought it would be answered on speculation on how people think Shulk would play. Based on what we have speculated thus far.

Once Shulk gets confirmed, do you think starting a thread about the best Xenoblade Chronicles stage would be the toughest thing to decide on?
YES...
But we all know it'll be somewhere super iconic probably gaur plains.

So Not-Ky?

Well with that type of character, there isn't an exploit by design, because there are options for both offense and defense. Though the factor of the lack of specialization may be a turn off for some people who would prefer a character with a more specialized niche. Though unlike racing games or RPGs, being balanced can be a benefit.

That makes sense. Sorry for my ignorance, but what is Ky?

When this game comes out I can't wait to have my Shulk amiibo. I don't usually pay for these type of things, but Nintendo figurines are so much more fascinating than Disney or Spyro ones.

Spoiler sauce thoughts:

I like how Shulk almost makes you feel bad about Mumbkar's death in Sword Valley. Well, happened to me anyway.

That is my favorite cutscene in the game. I love how Shulk defended Mumkhar because he was a Homs. Throughout all of the game, Mumkhar was seen as a giant monster in his Mechon. I honestly interpreted this as killing Mumkhar would make Dunban and the others just as bad as him and would make them a big monster like him. It was amazing character development for Shulk that solidified him as one of my favorite video game characters of all-time.

Totally agreed. That's a very powerful moment, especially when you think about it from Shulk's perspective. In his world, the only major conflict has been between Mechon and Homs. It's heavily implied that there's never been an actual war between Homs before. But his character development gets even better when he refuses to kill Egil, and that gives me my favorite line of the game. "I can't kill you, but I can stop your blade. And I'll do it. Over and over again until... We understand each other. Okay?" It's at that point he finally gives up on revenge, and understands that the people he hates had their own hopes and dreams. Even if they aren't Homs. He's not my favorite video game character, but he's definitely one of my favorite lead protagonists. Because unlike most of their leads, Nintendo actually saw fit to give him a personality. :p

That scene where he refuses to kill Egil is also one of my favorites, for that and a different reason. It also shows the worst side of another character (which I didn't see coming I'll admit), leads into another set of huge twists and has one of my favorite wham lines ever. "You shouldn't have done that, little brat."

I've been trying my hand at making some gifs lately. This is only my first attempt at it, and I have things pretty well figured out now. I have a good idea of how to make the image larger, so the next one should be improved considerably. I can make a gif of pretty much any scene of Xenoblade if needed; do you guys have any suggestions?

By the way, the footage from this gif is taken from Chugga's LP. I have to give credit where credit is due.

well there is a very small part placed inside the bionis. but I think he's talking about Makna Forest.
Well it seems I've totally forgotten myself, haha. I was talking about Eryth Sea, but I do think Makna Forest is beautiful as well. That cliff with the waterfall where you fight the Telethia is one place I remember. You also get Melia here, too, my favorite character.

My favorite scene is
when Dunban fights Mumkhar on Valak mountain. Not only is that scene my favorite use of Confrontation with the enemy, but so many great things happen. Dunban beats Mumkhar with only his left arm, the party meets Egil and he foreshadows that you will go to the Mechonis while he takes away Fiora.

You now, at first I was upset when they brought Fiora back. But the whole thing was done in such a way that it doesn't feel like a cop out.

Pretty sad that I won't be able to continue more Xenoblade right now, cuz vacations.
For those wondering about where I am, I'm around Valak Mountain with… Mumkhar… and because I wasn't ready to fight him, I began exploring the area for Landmarks and experience.

Oh man, I did not see that coming at all! I almost read about the game's plot online because I didn't think I would finish the game and I'm so glad I didn't spoil that. Alvis's character was also amazing and where the took it in the end game with the full background of Meyneth and Zanza.. I was blown away. There was so much in the game, actually, where my jaw just dropped. The High Entia turning into telethia and Melia having to fight her brother. ...man.
