This happened awhile ago, but I F-Smashed my opponent, and the smash cancelled itself out immediately, and hit the opponent again.

you're going to have to provide a video or something more in-depth. I have no idea what you're talking about...

If I still have the replay. This happened awhile back.

But I'll try to go more in-depth. Okay, let's say you hit your opponent with Falco's Forward Smash. It's a pretty slow attack, right?

Well, as I was hitting my opponent, the forward-smash connected with the opponent (Hit them, they took damage, etc.) but the attack canceled out of itself within the first few frames of the attack, (The attack was faster, still connected, but the animation canceled) Then almost IMMEDIATELY another forward smash came out, (this did not cancel out of itself) and hit the opponent. So it was two forward-smashes hitting the opponent instantly with no lag in-between.

I have an idea...

perhaps right as you started your front smash, the opponent grabbed you but the fsmash landed and cause you to be released from the grab and then you initiated another fsmash?

I'm not quite sure what you mean but if it happens again save the replay so u can upload it.

Could the opponent have tech'd off the ground or a wall somehow, hit neautral A to cancel, then you hit F-Smash again?

That's what I was thinking. IIRC, I was spamming the c-stick to get the forward smash in. And the opponent might have canceled the forward smash, causing the weird double hit.

Yeah, either that or some weird, unpredictable technique.

Never happened to me before, sounds pretty crazy though.

It would be insane if there was a way to consistently do this.

it's been a while since one of these threads came up, but here's what happened, immediately after connecting with your Fsmash you got hit by an attack with very little hitstun which reset you into your normal state and allowed you to Fsmash again immediately. I saw a vid a while back of it happening with double Dsmash.
It couldn't be that you got grabbed as it connected though since grabbing in the same frame you got hit gives SA frames to the grabber.

Oh dangz, that's what I thought, but I was hoping for an amazing new Falco tech :(

One time I swear to God I downsmashed a DDD immediately after a dthrow, like RIGHT after the throw ended...unfortunately it was in training mode so no replay :(

Anybody have an explanation for that? I really want it to be true, but I'm thinking there must have been some kind of outside interferance I didn't notice.
