I write neat as hell, but only because I've been doing architectural drafting for years.
I hold the pencil with my thumb under my index finger, and my two first fingers on top of my pencil, and the last two fingers overlapping each other on the bottom. I also hate using pen.
Also, to add to Overload's quote, women generally have better penmanship than men. Imagine that.
