Parry would be insane in this game, as if Ryu's defensive options weren't good already.

I'm not a Street Fighter fan at all, but Ken always seemed kind of.....boring to me. I don't really get his appeal.

Ryu = Defensive and sticks by the books
Ken = Offensive and unpredictable

He's the shoryuken guy to Ryu's hadokens, everyone loves hotblooded offensive fighters look at captain meme().

I expect Ryu's Shoryuken to be easily punished, since the hit boxes will most likely only cover his fist and arm. Leaving his head wide open for spiking.

I'm not gonna lie, the prospect of putting fighting game characters in Smash always bugged me because it kinda sucks out moveset creativity. Ryu in Smash? Gee I wonder what his specials could POSSIBLY be, y'know?

But if you are going to put one in then I gotta admit that there's no more iconic option than good ol' Ryu. And if he's like any other Smash Bros. character he's gonna be stupid fun. So congratulations guys. Looking forward to his release.
