5. Celestial deity brought forth to artistically remove the curse from her land and not be confused for a house pet.
6. When a mystery is afoot, this guy is always good to have in your court. Nobody can object that he runs the best defense.
7. Japanese warrior gets involved with world-ending sculptures in America and learns that the local avians are not his friends.
8. The cold may not bother her anyway, but the warring nation certainly does. Opponents soon learn that her spear will getcha if they're not careful.
9. We may be saying "goodbye" to its games but there's always a chance for rock-solid "hello" in Smash, no matter the time of day.
10. Beloved monarch loves to spend his twilight years telling stories of his past quests and adventures. There are plenty of points in his stories that will certainly click with his audience.

D'oh, I forgot to put your Number 1 on my list. It's my last far-fetched dream character since Smash 64 that hasn't made it in now that Pit and Mr. Game & Watch made it in. Glad to see I'm not alone in, though I'd love a sequel if Pixar doesn't interfere again.

Anyway, you tried and hopefully had a little fun with it. I was hoping my clues weren't too obvious but maybe I made them too hard.

1. Close, but Hayabusa is actually Number 7 on the list. This is actually for Scorpion from Mortal Kombat, an undead ninja returning from the grave to avenge the death of his clan and family. The "you're next" is the tagline for the most recent game.

2. Correct, Steve's creative abilities could lead to some fun gameplay revolving around crafting. Our second overlap had I not forgotten to add the first.

3. Actually, it was Cadence from Crypt (another word for tomb) of the Necrodancer. The rug-cutting and drummer beat lines were hints toward the rhythm mechanic of her home game. She's actually teaming up with Link and Zelda in a mashup game coming out this month.

4. This was Dr. Eggman from the Sonic series, he's know for his 300 IG and the crack and yolk puns were allusions to eggs.

5. This was Amaterasu from Okami, a goddess in the form of a wolf (which can be seen as a dog hence the household pet line) who has the ability to use Celestial Brush to perform special abilities via painting in shapes and objects.

6. Correct, I'm glad you caught on the little clues like court, object and defense.

7. This one was Hyabusa. In the first NES game, he comes to the US and gets involved with a pair of statues that can summon a powerful demon. Also, the game is infamous for birds being obnoxious obstacles, hence why avians aren't his friends.

8. This is one was Fjorm from Fire Emblem Heroes. She's from an icy kingdom with freezing powers, hence the line from Frozen's Let It Go. Since FEH is considered a Gatcha game, that's what the spear line was a hint toward.

9. Not quite, it actually was for Lycanrock from Pokemon Sun & Moon. The "hello" and "goodbye" phrases were a hint toward the word Aloha, the Hawaiian word for both, with the region of Sun/Moon being based on Hawaii and named Alola. The reference to time of day refers to its multiple forms based around Day, Night and Dusk.

10. This one was the hardest and probably least heard of on the boards, so it's ok you couldn't get him. The character is King Graham from the King's Quest series, with the clue referencing the most recent installment where he tells the tales of the previous games to his grandchildren. The words point and click were mean as clues for his genre, the Point and Click adventure games mostly found on PC.

6/10 is pretty good, actually.

9: ...Ditto? I'm not entirely sure on this one. This one was probably my most vague. It was Mega Man X, as one of the key themes throughout the series is that he was built with "limitless potential". In retrospect, definitely should've given another hint.
8: Crash Bandicoot - one of my more desired third parties. Can't trash the Crash.
7: I'm a little rough around the edges here but I think I recall it was about taking two maidens...but Bowser, DK and Ganondorf are already in the game...unless you mean Kratos? Doom Guy, although it could also apply to Kratos in retrospect. The line is about rage that causes the Greeks pain, so I thought it would work for Mr. Rip and Tear.
6: ??? Bandana Dee. First appeared in 1996 as a cameo in Kirby Super Star, reappeared for the first time in 2008's Kirby Super Star Ultra, and joined the main cast with 2010's Kirby: Return to Dreamland.
5: Chorus Men. I'm not overly keen on Rhythm Heaven needing a character, but it is weird how Rhythm Heaven got passed over Got this one!
4: Takamaru...I'm warming up to him but I'd be more down with a series revival for him. Actually a series revival for him would be far more exciting than plopping him in Smash first. Checkarooni!
3. The...snowman from Animal Crossing? Leon Kennedy was who this is referring too. I was quoting a semi-(in)famous line from Resident Evil 4.
2. Ninten? Link and Marth were the only others with descedents I could think of but obviously they're both in. Not against this one at all. Erdrick was who I was going with for this one. The heroes in the first two Dragon Quest games are his descendants.
1. Either Wolf Link(and Midna maybe) or Lycanroc. Both would be pretty good for me. Yup! It's Lycanroc.

Overall, you got 5/10. Pretty good, considering it admittedly went out of my way to make some of these more difficult than they should've been.
