Getting back from the ledge

I'm still having trouble with this. I think my opponent just learns too fast. People say 'everything is good' here, but I only keep thinking 'nothing is good'. It's usually against Falco, sometimes Fox or Marth, that I have problems. Things I don't really use are: ledgeattack, ledgejump, jump with needles, jump with fair (or well I do sometimes but it's punished 100% of the time). I just get up, or I waveland, or I roll up, but my opponent always sees it coming and I eat an aerial or grab or smash. Of course I upB stall until he is away, but he only goes away slightly yet too far to do anything out of my waveland, and my invincibility is gone after my waveland even when I do it immediately. Today my opponent said: waveland has too much lag, yet when I ask the best of Holland they say that they always use waveland.

It's not as bad as it sounds, but I should be able to get back on the stage way more often than I'm doing now. Against some players I don't have trouble, even when they're better than me, it's the calm thinking players that are always a step ahead.

Turn around needle cancel rise with a bair?

I do that with Fox, Sheik's bair is longer, seems like it'd work.

Well if they get up close to the edge, you can drop, walljump bair and if you do it fast enough, you'll nick them with your foot.

...I'm not sure why they'd go up that close to the edge, or what you'd really do after, but, y'know, there's something interesting.

Shino Stall until they back off or make a move to take it.

Defeat their learning with gay.
The problem is they're backed off already, yet ready to punish anything I do.

@Elvenarrow: yeah I've been doing the walljump bair as well for ages, it works but I have to upB into the ledge again if I hit, it's just free percent and then I'm on the ledge again

While haning on the edge, how does everyone here get back on the stage? There are numerous options, but not all are good. Which ones do you use most, in what situations, and which ones do you think are most effective?
There is no most effective way to get back, they're all punishable, but all good if used right.

You can:

- Climb on normally
- Roll
- Attack <-- this sucks over 100%
- Jump (while hanging)
- Waveland on stage (to shield, roll, tilt, smash, spotdodge, etc)
- Let go of the edge and jump on stage (acting as if you'll regrab the edge) <-- you can vary by dropping far down, or jumping backwards
- UpB on stage (double vanish for if they try and punish)
- Ledge hop needles/fair/nair/air dodge

^Which one you use depends on your percentage, the opponents character & skill level, what you've already tried, the stage, etc.

So what you do, is stall (simply dropping down & regrabbing or upB stalling) and try to provoke a reaction, as soon as your opponent moves, you use the appropriate way to get on.

Then you just haven't tried the right thing yet. =]
Against what character are you having trouble?

This actually helps. I haven't tried all of these options yet, maybe a simple airdodge works in my situation. Jumping back and drop on the stage also sounds interesting.

ledge wavedash for super safe return on the stage. Just like fox.
