Dun Dun DUNNN!!!!

Exhibit A: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqHx_Inq-Dw
The third part of the Stabbedbyahippie interview.

The interview contains the typical Mango random bull**** stuff. A lot of "plays gay", and describing his own genitals. But starting at 8:01 it starts getting interesting.

"But I'll see you all at Genesis. I'm going to **** all of you. But mostly I just want to **** PP because I heard hes been getting cocky."

So we can take from this that Mango primarily wanted to go to Genesis II just to face Dr.PP because he somehow felt he was disrespected.

At Genesis II Dr.PP was feeling pretty sick and wasn't playing his best. As an result Dr.PP ended up in the Losers Bracket pretty early. Which brings us to Exhibit B.

http://www.smashboards.com/showthrea...84863&page=462

More specifically the chart on that page posted by Juggleguy.

Now, heres where the conspiracy theory starts. We all know that Taj beat Mango and sent him into the Loser's bracket. But what some people haven't thought about is that the Loser of the Mango vs Taj set would go on to play the Winner of the Dr.PeePee vs Shroomed match. As we all know Mango went on to lose this match. Coincidence? Maybe. Or is it possible that Mango lost on purpose in an attempt to extract his own personal revenge on Dr.PP himself? I honestly, would have responded to this question with an resounding NO! But then the weirdest thing happened in Loser's finals. Taj vs Mango in a rematch in which Mango kinda dominated. O.o

The win in Loser's Finals took Mango to Grand Finals in which he faced none other than Armada, a repeat of Genesis I. Which again brings us to Exhibit A.
At about 8:19 in that clip Mango says " Lets just all let Armada win. So who ever faces Armada in finals just let him win, but make it look like your trying."
Grand Finals ended with a thrilling 5 game set, with Armada as the victor. A 5 game set would definitely fit under the category of "making it look like your trying" and therefore fullfill all of Mango's wishes coming into the tournament.

So what should you take from this post? Absolutely nothing, its an F'ing conspiracy theory. Its WAY safer/smarter just to give props to all the participates involved. Taj was on his game and playing great, and Armada simply won what hes worked his butt off for years now to earn. So taking anything from any of the players that attended is pretty ridiculous. But maybe. . .. .just maybe. . . .Mango just mindgamed the entire community.

I haven't seen some of the games... (Dang Stream) but that sounds sorta legit, but I doubt he would throw it against Armada in Finals, maybe PeePee caught onto the scheme and reverse mindraped Mang0 by losing quickly, then losing to the DARKEST, loljk, taking one of Mang0's "stocks"

Plausible maybe, probable no. I think it's more likely that AR has been preparing for the rematch. Hell, look what he planned for HBox after his loss at Apex. Armada is incredibly patient, and not just when he's timing out in-game either. His plots to overcome obstacles have already been shown to span months - I think it's certainly plausible that he's spent the last two years preparing for the Mango rematch. Meanwhile, Mango has been sandbagging and taking his title for granted. So while he may be the more talented player overall, AR wanted the victory much worse and *probably* went to great lengths to decipher Mango's playstyle.

This is all IMO of course, so take it for what it's worth.

Wouldn't a two set win be more epic?

I agree. I think Mango tried his best to take set one and it just didn't succeed this time. After all, if we're gonna go by his interview, his warmed up Fox is his best character, and he's said before that it would be his choice against Armada if they met up again.
Besides, there would be no reason for him to lose set one, it would have no impact on Armada losing or winning, just making it waaaay more epic. I seriously doubt any player has such a control that they can pick and choose which matches they win or lose, at least when facing a player of Armadas caliber.

Otherwise it seems pretty spot on. Mango's prediction did come true either way.

Btw, did Mango use Fox against Taj? He used Falco the first time, and as Taj has proven this tournament, he handles that matchup like no other.

It's pretty clear that both losses were thrown.

He specifically stated before the tournament even started exactly why he would want each match thrown.

He states he wants Armada to win GF's in a close game, which he gave (3-2 down to the wire).

He stated he wanted to face Dr.pp, which the loser of Taj vs Mango would do presuming that Dr.pp would beat Shroomed. This didn't happen though as Shroomed beat Dr.pp anyway.

He's thrown matches before to accomplish goals, so these just seem like standard Mango plays. Heck I'm pretty sure he said to me on AIM he would go for Dr.pp.

Not trying to take Armada's wins from him or anything, he machined Taj and played solidly vs everyone, just saying that it was already predetermined for Mango to throw those matches if he got into them.

This thread is probally going to get closed soon, as I think I posted it in the incorrect place. I remade the same thread in the melee discussion board, so everyone is welcome to continue the discussion there. Thanks in advance!

Most people were probably thinking along similar lines in vs. Dr.PP part.

But vsing Armada and letting him way and keeping it close to make it epic? Doubt it for all the reasons listed above.

But like OP said before, it's just conspiracy.
